According to the ancient Vedas, which are the original "How to" books given by God at the time of creation by God (also known as Krishna, Jehovah, Allah, Vishnu, Rama, Elohim, etc) There are innumerable universes like this one. There is an earth, heavenly planets (Not to be mistaken for the eternal kingdom of God) and hellish planets in each Universe. The heavenly planets are for those who have very good karma (due to pious activities) and the hellish planets are for those who have done very sinful activities (no one goes eternally) that is a conception put forth by man) and the earth planets are for those who have a combination of both. One must understand Karma, Reincarnation, and no one goes to hell eternally to actually realize the unlimited mercy and love of God. Jesus originally taught these things but they where taken out by Constantine at the council at Nicea in 325 AD. for info google gospelofthenazirenes.com also read Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupda. Doesn't make me question my faith because reading the Vedas all is there. No questions left for me to wonder about the universe.

He did create the Earth. If you understand that the universe is massive and still expanding, I would think you would understand that the Earth couldn't just exist by itself with nothing else. Why are you questioning/challenging God's power?

What do you mean how "unimportant Earth is"?
As far as we know, we are the only planet that actually has life on it -- that's pretty important.
Maybe God created the entire universe so that we could have something to marvel at while we are here on Earth. I mean think about it -- the stars, the sun, the moon, the other planets. .they are all so impressive and amazing so maybe its a form of natural entertainment and astonishment God has blessed everyone with. Maybe God created it so that we could feel special -- this planet is the only one that can sustain life. Maybe He did it because its a part of His plan that we don't know about yet.
Who can honestly say? For none of us are God.

It might have been for the Earth, it might have been for man. It might not have been for either of those things. I do not find the conclusion important really. But I do lean towards man. I do not believe that the constellations themselves are positioned as they would have been had man escaped the fallen state. I believe they tell of Christ, much like the rest of the world in a spiritual way.
What I think is that man was important to God. This one creation just happened to be fashioned after the image of God after all.
So what you are challenged by I am not. I hope you can find that salvation is by faith, and not by the "Church" someday.

Either God wants the human race to survive a very long time and spread his message to those Galaxies 14 Billion light years away . Or the simple answer is God didn’t create the universe .

God has no limits or space to what He can create. When I think of the universe it puts me at awe as to how great and magnificient God must be. It also increases my faith because I know that if He can create the universe, He is able to help me with my problems.

Don't you think that it's kind of arrogant and self centered to think that the universe exists just to support our existance? It's as good an explanation as any really but not very visionary. Would you be willing to accept the possibility that maybe our ideas of GOD are completely false?

Beelzebub bet him the next round of drinks that the inhabitants of the small insignificant planet of Earth would never believe it.

I have wondered if it takes a universe to produce an earth? What if there are many universes?what if each universe has a creator i.e. the "Word" for ours.

It might make you question your faith if you believe that Earth is the only planet that supports life - I don't believe that.
