Dear,
That's absolutely a GOOD question.
Many have different ideas and believe. The assumption of all believes is that, We are all living on the same earth the world, sees the same sun, the moon the stars in the Galaxy. Traveling crossing the seven seas like Christopher Columbus, Ferdinand Magellan and many others.
There must be someone who created all these things. Nothing can exist on its own. The Aircraft's, the Ships and Automobiles are all made by men. These Air crafts, Ships, Automobiles and other transports does no exist on its own. All these are created by Men. Men are entirely different from animals. Maybe DNA near to Man kinds but the brain of Man kinds are superb. If Mankind's are from Apes, who created the Apes?. There must be someone creating the Apes. The Apes cannot exist own its own. The apes needs food to eat, water to drink and air to breath. There must be someone creating the Foods (living plants), the Water and the Air.
To answer all the questions, there must be a creator. The creator name is GOD. The God of all mankinds, Angels (including Devil Satan), Jinns, Sun, Moon, Stars and all living things and all things that exist on earth, space, galaxy and what so ever.
HE is God to all. HE is the creator and the governor of the universe. HE created Prophet Adam with HIS (God) own hands from CLAYS and created Eve from the left bone's of Adam. Adam and Eve is over fore father and fore mother. Devil Satans are among the creation of God who disobey God the greatest enemy of the peoples on earth mIslead our fore father Adam and Eve in the Heaven, which caused them to descend to Earth our world .The most right Prophets of God, Abraham, Moses, David, Jesus and Muhamad and all of us are decendent of Adam and Eve. All religions are creation of God. The religion of the Judaism, the Christian and the newest is the Islam of the Monotheisms and many other religions on earth that have Gods.
What ever names, G-d, Yahweh, Yahovah, God, ALLAH and whatever names given is "HIM", HE is the one, the only one "God", the creator and the governor of the universe and make Mankinds as agent on earth. God Create Mankinds and Jinns to worship HIM (God).

The profound ignorance occurs because we
are by nature a we-against-them species. If there is no other opposing
group, that part of our nature which requires an oponent will be
frustrated.
But there is a social reason for the ignorance, which is that we mix up
history and religion. Let us take the Bible for instance. The writers
of that book were writing as if religion and history was one and same
thing, so that the Jews ended up as the chosen people merely because
certain religious developments occurs as their history transpired.
It is our innate insecurity which sponsors and continues to promote
religious division. We ourselves are the cause of it.

LISTEN UP;
Allah simply means GOD. I,ts the Arabic language for the english word GOD. This is not a name but a title. According to Judaism the name of GOD is YAHWEH. It comes to us who speak english as JEHOVAH. It appears to approximate in its pronoun ci ation.Nobody living today can with certainty be sure of its exact pronounciation. But the important thing here is to address the true GOD by his given name. The JEWS of the O.T. thought the name too holy to pronounce, so in time it was lost by thier supersition.Religious leaders of christendom during the 16th century fought to bring it back and for awhile it succeded. Some of the old cemetary,s in this country have the Tetragrammaton (Jewish) which is the ancient Hebrew consonants of YHWH. From this we who speak english pronounce it Jehovah. Muslims do not have a personnal name for God. Cristians don,t know the true God. They think that the son of god is the father also, dispite every thing that Jesus taught his 1st century disciples they are still confused as to his idenity. That,s why people who arent chistian,s look upon christendom as a murderious universal religion who are controled by the Devil. That,s why the Muslim religious fraction,s of this world always went to war with the christian crusaders of years past. They teach that JESUS was only a prophet of GOD (Allah) just like thier prophet Muhammad nothing more nothin less. So you see in reality ther is NO comparison THERE is a lot more history on this subject and it goe,s alot further then this So if you are really interested go to the library and do your own research.

You are only partly right and therefore wrong. Let me explain simply if I can.
Judaism recognizes God the Father and the Holy Spirit but not the Son of God. Some do but they are Messianic Jews and not considered to be true Jews by the majority.
Christianity recognizes the Triune nature of God with God the Father, Son [Jesus] and the Holy Spirit.
Both religions teach that we are to Love our brother but only Christians carry that command further with the command to Love their enemy. Quite a difference in just that.
Islam recognizes God the Father and the Holy Spirit and even Jesus [I am not certain if they see Him as a prophet or as the Son of God] Islam respects the "People of the Book" meaning Jews and Christians as well but they are taught rather than love or tolerate the "infidels" they should be killed.
So you see by the basic tenants of the faith that the three do not all worship the same - identical God.
Hope that helps.

Jews and Muslims worship a God who is not Jesus Christ. Christians worship the God who is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, three in one the Trinity). Ask any Jew, Muslim or Christian and they will agree. Don't ask a Mormon. Jehovah's Witness, Hindu or other religions because they are none of the above. If you worship the wrong god you are condemning yourself and influencing others to do likewise. Of all the choices you ever have, you need to make the right choice on which god you should worship.

The Quran commands the worship of the Kaaba stone, the pilgrimage to Mecca, the fast during the month of Ramadhan, and it also teaches a fatalism regarding the present life. All of this was part of the pagan religion of the Arabs in Muhammad’s day.
The Quran’s graphic portrayals of heaven and hell; its instructions regarding a kebla or direction in which one should turn when praying; its rules regarding prayer and purification; the idea of the use of balances on the judgment day and of Al Araf or purgatory; the opening prayer of all suras except the ninth, “In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful”; its angelism and demonology, all find their close counterparts in the Talmud of Judaism and the Avesta of Zoroastrianism.

In Islam Allah means the one and only God, Muslims understanding of God is plain and simple. When Muslims prays 5 times a day. It's only to the true creator and not something or someone we just pick and choose. Muslims are incline naturally (fitrah) to pray only to God directly. Now who is God.Muslims believe of worshipping the one and only true God is set out in the Holy Koran.Say,'He is God,the one God,the eternally,be sought of all,he begetteh not,nor was he begotten and there is none comparable to him.To understand who is God one need to understand the attributes and qualities of God.All the Messengers from Adam to Mohammad have all preached the same God.God is free from human defiencies and he is the Mightiest of all.

I disagree. Have you read the Koran? I included a statement from it where God denies Jesus as his son. He also denies the Trinity in the Koran.
In the Bible, God says that Jesus is his Son and the Holy Spirit is the Comforter. In the Torah, which is Genesis through Malachi, Jesus is not mentioned, but we do worship the same God as the Jews. That is why Christians side with them. We share the same Torah.
FROM THE KORAN:
Chapter 4: Verse 171 O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion or say about Allah except the truth.
The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, "Three"; desist – it is better for you. Indeed, Allah is but one God. Exalted is He above having a son.
HERE IS WHERE ALLAH SAYS NOT TO BEFRIEND JEWS AND CHRISTIANS.
Al Meada ( 120 )Ayah Chapter-5: Verse-51
O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are [in fact] allies of one another. And whoever is an ally to them among you – then indeed, he is [one] of them. Indeed, Allah guides not the wrongdoing people.
WOULD GOD CONTRADICT HIMSELF?

I'm sorry but you are wrong. allah is not God. That was just a lie Muhammad told to try and get Jewish and Christian followers. islam is not from God, by God or even about God. You should read the quran. allah calls himself a deceiver, just like Satan. That's more than a coincidence.
God Bless.

As salaamu 'alaikym, my friend.
Insha'Allah, there may be several reasons for the profound ignorance you site.
Remember that the Torah as it exist today was written by three distinct groups in Judaism (the Priestly sect, the Scribes and the Eloist) which is demonstrated by the fact that the same story if often told more than once with variations in each telling. Current biblical scholarship fully supports this understanding.
As this work was edited, modified and later corrupted the attributes assigned to YHWH became those assigned to Him by man rather than those He revealed to man.
The canonical Christian New Testament also went through quite a long period of development as the Prophet Jesus/Isa (peace be upon him /'alaihi sallaam) went from a prophet to the "son of God" and was deified at the Council of Nicea around 345 C.E., along with becoming part of a trinity that supposedly was God. Again, this was man's theological wondering rather than what YHWH/Allah, Subhanna wa Ta'ala, had revealed to man.
At that same Council, any "gospel" that did not neatly fit into the "accepted " teachings of the new state/Roman religion were branded as heretical.
Insha'Allah, only the Holy Qur'an has remained uncorrupted to this day from its revelation to the present. Alhumdulillah! In it we find the 99 names Allah, Subhanna wa Ta'ala revealed to mankind which He uses to describe Himself to and for us and our understanding. Alhumdulillah!
Of course, you have at least one "Christian" sect that is still perpetuating the fraudulant concept that "Allah" was a lunar god despite this having be debunked many years ago.
The moral is that you "can't teach an old dog new tricks" and that there will always be some persons who simply refuse to accept and face up to the truth.
Ash hadu an laa ilaha ill-Allaah, wahadu la sharika lah wa ash hadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa Rasuluh!
Yes, God is One and there is only One regardless of how men may try to twist and distort this fact.
Ma'a salaam
