Think about it. In Christianity, no one is perfect. No one is without sin. Therefore no one can die fully forgiven. Suicide is purely a sin. The same as murder, premarital sex, etc. So, do you think it is possible for a fully devoted Christian to get into heaven if they commit suicide?

I just want to see everyone's opinion on this matter.
Please keep in mind that there is only one unforgivable sin: blasphemy.

I too believe it is purely God's decision. I am very interested in seeing all of the different opinions and answers.

Only God knows.

but if you think about it, a person who kills themselves is taking away the life God proudly gave them, and by one killing themselves they are taking Gods power and putting it into their own hands. That would be what is called a 'mortal sin'

There is always hope for those who committed suicide though. As many have said "God works in mysterious ways"

Once your Spirit is Recreated by Asking Jesus to Save You---suicide will not Mess It Up Again. (if you murder your self your Still Going to Heaven).

Takes the Unpardonable Sin to Mess Up your Spirit AFTER your Saved (Born-Again)---Very Few Children of GOD can Even Commit this "High Treasonable Sin".

If you Ever Do Commit It---your a Goner.

Jesus can Only Die ONCE for you.
It is In The Bible.

Of course people can die fully forgiven.

Heaven after suicide? Seems like one of those things where the offender gives himself no chance to repent, but consider that someone could just as easily be hit by a bus before repenting of some other grievous sin.

I suspect God weeps when his children takes their own lives, but He also knows their state of mind and what's in the heart about Him - so I differ from those who say suicide victims cannot go to heaven. Yes, I think they can - He showed HImself to be a forgiving God by giving His Son for all manner of sins not His own.

You're right in saying that suicide is sin - albeit a serious one (1Corinthians 6:19).
We all die in our sin. It is more than what we do - it is what we are. We are born sinful. (Ps 51:5) We were created with eternal lfe but lost it in our rebellion against God. Read Genesis Chapters 2&3 with that in mind.
We are not saved by what we do or don't do. We are saved by God's grace combined with our faith alone (Ephesians 2:1-10) It is a grave mistake - however - to assume that kind of forgiveness is permission to sin. (Check out Galatians 5:13-15)

Well, the only unforgivable sin is not accepting Jesus, so I would think so. Especially since a lot of people who commit suicide are mentally disturbed.

I don't believe in once saved always saved....I don't believe that when you get saved that you can do anything and go to heaven.....you can backslide and miss heaven. We all sin and come short of the glory of God, but we must repent daily. If someone commits suicide...and realized they made a mistake and repents before they die...then ...yes, they can go to heaven, but if they don't repent, I don't believe they will go to heaven. However, this is just my opinion. God only knows, so I would suggest...asking him...and asking for confirmation through discernment. Good Question!

I'm an atheist but I would like to think that people would say yes

Many people who commit suicide are depressed

Depression is a mental illness.

If a god would punish people for doing something when they were not "in their right minds" then that god is not particularily godlike.

No one is barred from heaven because of what they do. There is no sin strong enough that the blood of Jesus can not clean it. In fact-Jesus has already paid the price for all sin of all time- past, present, and future. The only problem is that you must get that payment posted to your account. The only way to do that is to surrender to Jesus.

Actually it is a misnomer that suicide is an unforgivable sin. This is nowhere in the Bible.

However, the idea of being condemned as related to suicide comes from Judas killing himself. However, Judas is not condemned due to suicide but due to his betrayal of Christ.

God's Grace can overcome any sin.

You will live forever, anyway. The question is, do you want to live in eternal punishment or eternal paradise? "If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:15 "Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life." Matthew 25:46 "And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Revelation 21:4
