Not so much one particular food, but a style of food:
I go absolutely Nucking Futs over Hare Khrishna food!!
Ye GODS its good!!
my mouth is watering now just thinking about it.....
Its also Karma Free food, good for the soul and the planet (not to mention the tastebuds).

Foie gras. As a child I had never even heard of this...my favorite food then was 3 Muskateers Chocolate Bar

I used to really love hard shell tacos when I was a kid. I don't think I've eaten a hard shell taco in nearly 10 years.

My favorite food is tomato soup with a grilled cheese sandwich. It was my favorite as a kid, too -- in fact, my Mom used to let me have tomato soup for breakfast because I hated eggs so much.

Sushi.
It has all of the food group in it.
I used to hate it as a kid; i couldnt get past the seaweed. But now i love it so much that I would eat it everyday for the rest of my life if i could =]

chicken wings and ribs -now
Mcdonalds -as a kid- that was always a treat to go there unlike today where kids eat it 3 times a week because parents are too busy

Sushi - never had it as a kid, but love it now.
Tapas - always loved it, even more so now than when I was small.
Pretty much anything my mother makes :) Of course, she lives on a different continent now so I get her to talk me through making some of her best dishes on the phone.
