That in obtaining a dog, whether it be from a breeder or a shelter, you are taking responsibility for their life. They are not a necessity, they are a luxury.

If you cannot afford vet care, then you are not in a situation where you should be taking on that responsibility. When you purchase one, you are making a commitment to that dog for the rest of its life. Not making a commitment until you move to a place that doesn't like dogs, not making one until you meet someone you want to be with that doesn't like them... they are not toys that you throw away when you get sick of them.

That treating a dog like a human baby gives them psychological and behavioral issues.

To research the breed they want to buy, get from shelter or a rescue club before doing any of this, make sure the dog fits your life style and wont be neglected.........or forgotten.....

dogs give all their love, and owners should do the same.

That they shouldn't adopt unless they are home 6-7 days of the week and can take good care of them without leaving them home for more than 20 hours a week.

That puppies and dogs in the shelter are just as good as any bought dog.....

That they are not human! They do not think or act like humans.
They don't pee on the floor out of spite, they do practice dominance behaviors, which include humping, and they are NOT omnivores, like humans. They are carnivores.

There are no bad dogs, just bad owners/trainers. You can modify any of their bad behavior with hard work!
