Since David (Jesus' ancestor) was a redhead, as said in the bible. Is it possible that Jesus was also a redhead?

A verse in the bible where it says that David was a redhead:

1 Samuel 16:12 "And he sent and brought him in. Now he was RUDDY and had beautiful eyes and was handsome. And the LORD said, "Arise, anoint him, for this is he." - Holy Bible; English Standard Version.

He actually had long blond hair.

The letter from Pontius Pilate to Tiberius Caesar "His golden colored hair and beard gave to his appearance a celestial aspect."

Highly unlikely, as very few Jewish folk have naturally red hair. As mentioned below, "ruddy" was usually a descriptive of the face or body, seldom if ever the hair.

Considering "Dashes" response, I'm not sure where you have found the emphasis on Jacob's descendants, as Jacob had 12 sons and Jesus was born into the tribe of Judah. Both Matthew's and Luke's Gospels prove this. The only major difference is in the sons of David in each genealogy. Matthew continues the kingly line, proving that Jesus was indeed heir to the throne; Luke, cognizant that the Solomonic line was to be stopped due to the sins of the last several kings, showed that the line was still directly descended from David, through Nathan. No real need I see to emphasize Jacob at all.

There are prophetic verses in the Bible that indicate that His hair was raven and that he was homely looking. In other words . . . ordinary looking, didn't stand out. He certainly did not look like the effeminate Dutch guy in the painting "The Last Supper." Artists have always used models, paid and unpaid. Dutch artists used Dutch models or people they had seen. Ditto for artists from other cultures.

unlike what most people think, red hair is not only found in people of celtic descent, some people living in the north of africa have red hair. the hair found on tutankhamun's mummy was red, and Princess Lalla Salma of Morocco is also a redhead.(http://www.chiangmai-mail.com/w003/pictures/king-2006/King-14_2006.jpg )
the highest concentration of red hair in the north of Africa is found in Berber people.(http://www.egyptorigins.org/berber%20kids.JPG), the girl on the left is a redhead.

Actually, there is no direct "genetic" link to David from Jesus mentioned in the Bible. Remember, both geneologies describe Jacob's lineage...and Jesus was supposedly born of an immaculate conception.

Jesus was of middle eastern descent, no? If this is true, then he would be of dark complexion. Jesus, if he existed, probably looked nothing like the common portrayal: blond-streaked hair with blue eyes.
