The 3 methods of thawing frozen product are :
cooking process - that will require cooking straight through to the required reheat temperature (of meat sauce) 165 degrees which will cause burning of extremities.
microwave process - that will require proper storage container and pan size limitation for microwave - and the result usually is an unbalanced temperature in the product (called hotspots).
defrost method - cooling in a refrigerator for 48 hours or thaw under potable (drinkable) running water 70 degrees or less. Most preferred way of culinary staff.

How To Defrost Spaghetti Sauce

To unthaw something means to freeze it.

To thaw spaghetti sauce, or anything else, running water is the best method.

If you have your sauce in a plastic container, set it in a bowl or pot just a trifle lower than the top of the freezer container. Put everything in the sink and fill the pot with water, then turn the water down to a trickle and leave it running. If the pot will be covering the drain of your sink, place a spoon handle or something under the pot to give room for water to drain out.

Your sauce should be thawed in less than an hour, then you can reheat it without as much risk of scorching or burning.

Spaghetti sauce freezes beautifully. It is one of the things that is a prime candidate for freezing. That's why it's always advisable to make a huge pot and freeze in batches The BEST way to thaw it is in the refrigerator until it has thawed completely. That way it won't turn watery on you, but you can also put the frozen sauce in a sauce pan and heat it from frozen, or use the microwave or oven to thaw it without cooking

Depends on what container it's in...Any which way it should be done slow..especially if there is frozen meat in it. Stir often and let boil 1-2 min to make sure it is evenly thawed and kills bacteria. If you used a food saver, you can throw the bag directly into boiling water your using for pasta.

as with most items it is best to thaw over night in the fridge but if you are in a hurry it is ok to thaw under COLD running water, or in the micro wave useing the defrost setting. As with all items cooked items comming out of the freezer make sure they reach 165 degreese to be safe.

leave it out of the freezer overnight. if you're in more of hurry, use the microwave (cover the container so it doesn't spatter all over), or simply put into a pan and heat on low on stovetop

these will all yield same results

I freeze mine in portions. That way I can defrost as many as I need. Overnight in the fridge does it.
