The dictionary states that Blasphemy is:
1 a: the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence for God b: the act of claiming the attributes of deity
2: irreverence toward something considered sacred or inviolable
Soooo YES your are being blasphemous because you are not God and we all know that. This biblically means you have committed a sin against God and the wages of sin is death which doesn't mean immediate physical death but it does mean being separated from anything to do with God.

It is blasphemy for anybody who is not God to claim to be. Jesus was crucified (executed) for the crime of blasphemy. Remember that instead of simply telling lame people to "Get up and walk.", He told them "Your sins are forgiven. Get up and walk." He did this on purpose - proclaiming His Deity.
Once He died, the grave could not hold Him. That's because He had not actually done the crime - Yes, He claimed to be God, but He really IS God. So no crime was committed!

Probably depends on the context in which you make that claim. There are plenty of mystics who have understood that the path to the Divine lays within the Self, in "becoming God". But to outsiders that claim sounds blasphemous, because they don't understand what the mystic means by it. How do you put into words the ineffable and subjective experience of Ultimate Reality?
Peace to you.

Didn't Jesus say "Ye are Gods." I believe God is in everything and everything is God.

No because you are God, and God is you. You are in God and God is in you. The Microcosm to the Macrocosm.. As above, so Below. (Gnostic Faith)

Why would you want to? You know you're not. I know you're not. So what would be the point?
