No, Christmas is when Hell is unleashed on our poor benighted planet, once every year. It is when tempers fray, families argue, drunks cause accidents, children turn into monstrous apparitions of greed and ingratitude, elderly relatives send cards festooned with fishermen and robins wearing little red pom pom hats, successfull friends send out round robins detailing how well they are doing, debt goes through the roof, all the utility bills land on the doormat at the same bloody time and evetrybody vows that next year "we'll have a proper traditional Christmas" and then promptly forgets to do so come next November

If there is a Hell at all, it's Christmas there all bloody year round

I think that in Hell, what is such torture isn't burning fires or devils poking you with pitchforks. I personally think that you can see heaven and feel God's undying and unconditional love that overwhelms you, but be denied it and spend eternity in torture of seeing the most wonderful thing ever and never being able to have it. You would long so much for it that you would never be at peace. I know that sounds horrible, but hey, it's Hell. I think that it's possible that they do, because it's celebrating Jesus's birth, but it would be more of a sad holiday of longing for Christ, not Christmas trees and presents or even santa.

NO -- below are reasons for BOTH meanings of Christmas, both religious and secular.

Religious reason for NO...
It is said in the Bible that wherever people come together to celebrate God, he is in their midst... God can not be in hell it is a place full of sinners -- thus no one can celebrate God in hell.

Secular Reason for NO....
As for the secular belief in Christmas as a time of giving and hapiness...
This would bring hapiness to people in hell and even the secular belief/useage of hell is to describe a place of unhappiness and suffering ..thus people couldn't celebrate ANYTHING let alone Christmas if they are in secular Hell.

The best description of hell is found in the story that Jesus told about Lazarus and the rich man. Without going into the whole story the rich man wound up in hell with all of his memory intact, worrying about his brothers who were going to wind up in hell. He ask if he could be sent back to earth to warn them but was told that they wouldn't believe anyone who came back from the dead (like Jesus) to tell the truth. He also asked for a drop of water on his swollen tongue but the request was denied. The Bible says he was in torment. His torment was physical and mental. The scariest thing is that he had his memory, regrets, sadness, and fears intact, for eternity. Another reference in the Bible indicates that people in hell gnaw their tongues from their pain and anguish. The old song says "I know there ain't no heaven, but I pray there ain't no hell."
