Aw Im sorry sweetie. I totally understand this. And the fact that it is your mom is even worse. You are right, diabeties can be very serious...but then again, it could just be simple diabeties. Talk to your mom about your fear. Im sure she wont die. Its normal to think about this...you love your mom and dont want to lose her (understandable), but you wont. Everything will be ok...you two will get through it. Bless you and your mom! Merry (almost) Christmas. And happy holidays.

How is your mums heath at the minute? Does she suffer any of these symptoms? Chances are she is very healthy and with the right diet with live a long and healthy life.
I appreciate it is a difficult time, but IF these symptoms arrive, it usualy takes many years to develop.
My faith in you is to say - they are verging on a cure for diabetes in the short term furutre, within 5 years, so dont worry yourself!!
Talk to your mum and educate yourself in how you can help her with her medication and diet! This knowledge will make you feel more confidant in helping her and reasurring yourself you can deal with any situation that may arise.
All the best

Tak to your mother about how your feeling. If she takes care of her self, follow the doctors instructions and take her medicine like she is supposed to she should be okay. Not everyone dies or experiences other severe symptoms of diabetes if it's caught early and treated. Good Luck.

If your mom takes care of herself and follows the doctors advice, she should live a long life.

I completely understand. My sister has it too. Right now she is in ICU with fluctuating insulin levels and MERSA.

Stop worrying about what COULD happen, and live for now. You have your mom now, and she could live many more decades with diabetes, with NO complications.
