GAD - Generalized Anxiety Disorder

Generalized Anxiety Disorder occurs in 4% of the population and is more common in women. Symptoms are persistent and often chronic. General anxiety disorder (GAD) and its related panic disorder are differential diagnoses for medically unexplained symptoms, owing to the many physical symptoms that are caused by these conditions.

The symptoms of Generalized Anxiety Disorder are persistent and are not restricted to, or markedly increased in, any particular set of circumstances (In contrast to phobic anxiety disorders).

You may have GAD - generalized anxiety disorder. Prozac, and some other meds are commonly prescribed to treat this. Take a look at your diet - too much caffeine, energy drinks, food additives, or just a junk food filled diet can reek havoc on your brain chemistry. Drugs would be a last resort - try exercise, prayer and my personal favorite (endorsed by my therapist no less!)...live in denial! I used to lie awake in bed worrying about everything - now I just tell myself "do not think about that now - do not think about that now - etc." and it helps!!
Good luck!

DONT WORRY lol , im just like that. i get worried when im not doing anything and start to wonder what bad things might happen. You should try taking up a hobby , that is if you dont have one that keeps you occupied and then you wont have time to worry.

*****here is a little song i wrote/you might want to sing note for note/dont worry....BE HAPPY!**** (check out that song, might help)

If you seriously worry about everything and its affected your daily life, then I would speak with someone who can help you (counsellor, doctor, mental health prof, etc) If its just worrying but not affecteing you then dont worry about it :) As the saying goes, Dont worry, be happy :). Of course many people do experience serious disorders surrounding worry (like Genralized Anxiety) but they are treatable.

The reason you worry is because you REALIZE that you cannot control everything in your life, and that anything can happen at any given time.
Your ultimate fear is death, which is what all worry ultimately leads to.
Learn to trust GOD, for there IS life after death and HE has made a way for us to be with HIM and HE can see us through ANYTHING that we will face in this life hon.
Read John 3:1-5 and Acts 2:38, this will tell you how to get close to GOD.Visit church sometime, look up a United Pentecostal church, theyre great.

Have you ever determined what your worry has produced? It seems to me to be an empty mental activity. Instead of worrying, maybe you would consider becoming more active in creating a meaningful purpose for yourself. You do have one, you just have to recognize it.

I know I worry...a lot.

If you feel it's disrupting your life to the point you can't do every day things then you should probably talk to a mental health professional.

well get up and do something physical
if you sit there worrying and do nothing to stop worrying
then it will continue
you need to break this cycle
physical exercise ,hoovering ,tidy up,paint and decorating, jogging going for a walk anything helps to stop the mind racing away with itself.Try it for a week what you got to lose?
