Why are christans so against wiccans?
Christians think they know all about wiccan, that the are "satin worshipers," "evil," controll humans," and "kill," none of that is true! it is infact a nature based religion. We dont have potions, we have remedies.
And wiccans dont even have a "devil" that we can worship?!?!?!
I dont truly get that, and christan came from wiccan! Look it up if you dont belive me!
I mean.. do you agree?

I completely agree, I feel they are very against Wiccans (and most pagan religions) and always think I am a devil worshipper. They don't wanna hear how their religion came from pagans and usually won't even believe that. But I think a lot of them just don't understand and are so wrapped up in their faith that they don't want to understand.

SOME Christians are like that, yes. Not all of them. Please don't lump them all together like that. It doesn't make you any better than the people you are talking about. Not all Christians are against Wiccans, and the ones who are will continue to be no matter what you say to them.
Also, Christian came from Wicca? Other way around. The Golden Dawn and other secret magic organizations have been practicing magic based on the Kabbalah and even Christian mysticism for years, and then Gardner came along in the 50s and decided to set Wicca up, using a lot of the rituals from the Golden Dawn and others and adapting them to his new religion. So Wicca really borrowed from Christianity.

Oh fluffy one, Christianity did not originate from Wicca. The religion Wicca as we know it is about 60 years old.
Yes, Christians shouldn't mindlessly persecute Wiccans or any other pagans, but the same goes vice versa. Wiccans shouldn't continually exhibit "more persecuted than thou" syndrome, and use that as an excuse to b*tch about how Wicca-hating Christianity is. It isn't- I've known far too many Christians to just assume they all think we worship Satan.

Give it up honey. Christians have been persecuting Pagans since the very beginning. 5 minutes after Jesus was dead they rewrote his his message and turned into something to torture and murder for. The majority of them have always hated and feared us and they always will. We refused to follow their shallow faith and in return they burned us. Things aren't that much better now. Anything or anyone that doesn't bow down to their beliefs is feared and shunned. If that doesn't work to shame us into following them like sheep to the slaughter then they pull out the old your going to burn in hell bit. If there is a hell then it's full of so called
Christians. OK for the ignorant out there. We do not worship the creation instead of the creator. We believe that all of nature and the earths animals a re physical manifestations of the Goddess and the God or some variation thereof. We are worshiping the Creators. By showing love and respect for every living thing we are showing love and respect for our MOTHER AND OUR FATHER. If your going to throw stones at least get it right.

Their religion teaches them that anything that isn't Christian and for God is for the Devil. And for most that's all they need to hear and they refuse to do any more research on the topic. And then others will say that we do worship the Devil, but he has cleverly disguised himself to appear good.
Christianity can be thought of a a hodge-podge of pagan beliefs. Wicca has only been around since the 50s.
And for so many who just "know" that Wiccans "worship the creation" we don't. We see nature as a physical manifestation of our God and Goddess. So thank you for showing that you know very little about Wicca and its beliefs.
EDIT: Yes, witchcraft has been around for a very long time. However, Wicca hasn't. Keep in mind that all Wiccans are not witches, and all witches are not Wiccan.

Hon, not all Christians think that. And Christianity did not come from Wicca. It stole a lot of ideas from many different pagan religions of the time, but Wicca has only been around since the 50s. Wicca is a reconstructionist path that takes from ancient religions, but it itself is not an ancient religion. The ideas in which we believe are pre-Christian, but there never was one religion that encompassed them all. You might want to do a bit more research yourself. Blessed Yule! )O(

Not all Christians hate Wiccans or Pagans. This is not a good thought process to get into sweetie. All that negativity you project toward people really only affects you.
You have to be a positive, educating force in this life- and you will see that energy return to you in the changes you will see in people around you. Try it, it's true.
And no, Christianity did not come from Wicca. Wicca is not ancient. It is a relatively new religion based on older pagan religions, with smatterings of Eastern philosophy. Gerald Gardener started it in the 1940's.

Everybody is frightened of what they don't understand. And when it comes to religion, multiply that by 100. Christians have a 2000 year history of being told that anybody who doesn't follow the leadership of the church is "evil". They are heretics that need to be purified for the protection of the true believers.
Since burning at the stake is not the "in thing" right now, Church goers stick with an alternative that has worked very well for them all those 2000 years; lying and misinformation.

There are alot of misconceptions about Wicca. It's actually a very peaceful belief system. The Wiccan motto is "Do what ye will but harm none."
To anyone who is unfamiliar with Wicca I recommend "Drawing Down the Moon" by Margot Adler. She is the granddaughter of psychologist Alfred Adler and the book is a very thorough study of Wicca, it's history, what draws people to it, some of the rituals and holy days, ritual items, etc.

I personally believe that your religion is far more peaceful than Christianity. But you cannot accurately say that Christianity came from Wiccan. Although a few customs did, the majority of Christians' beliefs are based off of those of Judaism.
