Yeah good luck with that.
All it took was one cover-to-cover read of the bible to convince me that god was imaginary.

No. Atheist read the Bible and do not see God.
Well, having faith kinda helps a little. Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3:3 that he must be born again to "see" the kingdom of God. Born again is a term used to describe a "new spirit" living inside your body with the old one. That new spirit is conceived by believing what the Bible says about Jesus. When we say "faith" this is what we really mean.
The lost worldly people want to see proof first-but God says no-trust me first that I will show you more than you can imagine.
After I was born again the Bible took on real meaning.

Reading the bible is a way to get to know what God wants of His children. I know the Old Testament is a huge bore to read through, but at least the New Testament is easier reading.
If you want proof that God is real, look out your window. See that cloud? See the trees & the grasses? Did you ever have such a low point in your life where you just wanted to die, and you say "God, how am I ever going to survive this?" and you do? How's that for proof?
Personal experience....back when I was in my early 20's, I was at that point where nothing at all in my life was going well. I had no job, precious few dollars left in my bank account, and the rent was due. I was feeling miserable and very sorry for myself and I thought that if I just ended it all, it would be better. So I was going to swallow a bottle of pills. As I opened the medicine cabinet, I said "God, if you really want me to live, you'd better get someone over hear quick!". Literally 2 seconds later, there was a knock on my door. I hadn't even gotten the pill bottle open yet. A friend of mine had come to see me. Coincidence? I don't think so. I think it was the fastest answer to a prayer I've ever received. Ever since then, I have not doubted that God exists. He has helped me through a lot of difficult times in my life, and blessed me with so much more. I'm glad He wanted me to live...I think that's all He wants - for us to experience life - for the good as well as the bad. Without the bad stuff that happens to us, we really cannot fully appreciate the good stuff.
I don't know if I've answered your question, but I hope my answer helps in some way.
God Bless You, and Merry Christmas.

The key is that you said, If I have faith that God is real and then read the Bible, I will see the proof.
God will reveal His Word to His people. If read with spiritual discernment, the words will come alive. Keep the faith and be blessed.

No, the Bible will remain a closed book to all unless God gives them "new eyes to see". It will be no different than any other book, just words on pages and maybe some interesting stories. But when God enters the heart of a person and makes them alive spiritually, then God reveals Himself as their God and Father in Christ in a most real way. A way that lays on the heart that assurance that its true like no other way can do. As Jesus stated "the words I speak are spirit"
Only if God Him self speaks to you through His word will you see the proof you want.

Actually all a person has to do to see that god is false is read the bible. Well, I think the bible neither proves nor disproves the existence of god. Back in biblical days people were not as educated and informed about the processes of themselves and their environment so clearly they were more likely to attribute an unexplainable occurrence to "god." For this reason, nothing in the bible mentioning the miracles of god should be taken seriously.

the bible will not prove anything for you if you are not willing to receive him, if you are shut out from God, then the bible will just be a blank slate for you. Once you truly have faith, that is when your spirit becomes lightened and you get a new sense of life, a sense God sneakingly gave you. God can transform you in good ways you will never understand.

Where on earth would you get a crazy idea like that?
Jeez. Christian theologians spent centuries analyzing hard-core philosophical arguments for the existence of God, and our current generation of genius has adopted the "read the Bible" argument.
No, that is not true. If you want to know if God is real, enroll in philosophy 101 at the local college, study for a couple of years, and then tackle some of the actual arguments for the existence of God.

when you read the bible , u start to know how God thinks , what's his wisdom , how does he treats us , takes care of us and loves us , when you know the charactarestics of God , then you can see him through his work , you will be able to receive God's messages to you , through the bible or his work or things that happens around you ,, but first of all you need to read the bible not like you are reading the news papers , when you read it you should first ask God to give you the right meanings of the words that you are reading , and to understand correctly his words , and if there's something u don't get , then ask ppl that you are sure that they know the answers , also do the same when you face any doubts or so ,,, you should understand what's written ,,, and know that you will not understand the whole of it in one time , focus while you are reading it , and know that God will help you and be beside u , bcz he says that who seeks him , will find him
good luck
and if u need any help i am here
God bless

I can tell you this much: if you don't believe he's real, you certainly aren't going to find him. So if you do find him, can you say it was because he was real or because you believed he was real? So is he real or his he not? So what is real anyhow? Is anything real if no one sees it, witnesses it, perceives it in some way, sort of like the sound of a tree falling in the forest when no one is there? I suspect that nothing is really real in the sense we normally think of until it is perceived. Maybe God is just one way of seeing and defining the same things that others see and define without claiming to see God.

it takes more than reading the bible. people read the bible all the time and still think that God and His word is a "myth".
i see proof all the time. i see the wonderful earth, the people that live here, the air we breath, good health, a loving family.
i have faith in God. the proof is all around you. it's up to you if want to have faith or not.
