Change the things you are eating, more green veggies and meats .. limit carbs as much as possible. Even getting into a structured diet plan might help (i.e - weight watchers).
Also eating 4-6 little meals throughout the day as opposed to big ones, never skip meals .. and dont have 4-6 BIG meals
Also exercise .. find a friend and go out for a walk, join a gym, park further away when going places .. but definitely exercise is vital
also i reccomend taking vitamins and maybe even a fat burning complex or some type of appetite suppresent if you have a trouble with that.
most importantly believe you CAN .. if you mess up .. dont give up .. we all do it .. you just pick up where you left off and continue!

It may take 4-6 months to lose 50 lbs. With type 2 diabetes, you should be following a special diet prescribed by your doctor. This diet should also result in weight loss.
If your doctor did not refer you to a diabetes educator then call your local Diabetes Society office and ask where and when education sessions are held for newly diagnosed diabetics. Then attend them.

you might not want to hear this, but excercise. also, watch out for the diets you try- some of them will deplete your water... which is instant weight loss but is bad for you overall. i'm not sure how well exercise will help you lose weight, but it will make you healthier. The reason i'm not sure is because muscle weighs more than fat so in general your weight might only decrease a little, but you would be super strong.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

you need to see your doc and a nutritionist prior to starting any diet as a diabetic.....the weight loss will probably help stabilize you glucose.

Unhealthily possibly killing you; keep your sugar high. You should probably just diet and exercise though.
