Bursitis is the inflammation of Bursa. You have more than 150 bursae in your body. These small, fluid-filled sacs lubricate and cushion pressure points between your bones and the tendons and muscles near your joints. They help your joints move with ease. Bursitis occurs when a bursa becomes inflamed. When inflammation occurs, movement or pressure is painful.

Most often Bursitis is due to repetitive actions or overuse.

Much of the time with rest, tylenol and the use of ice the symptoms will start to go away. The doctor may inject cortisone into the area to reduce the swelling.

It is a very common disorder!

pain between the shoulder blade could just be the result of a muscle strain from too much time hunched over the computer's keyboard, stress, the way that you are sleeping at night, or other muscle injury caused by sports, exercise, normal aches and pains, or even a bra being worn to tightly.

If you are experiencing pain between the shoulder blades, don't look up the worst case scenario and jump to conclusions.
