I think you misread that answer. It was suggesting that IF you were taking iron supplements you might get a bad taste in your mouth. Your body will naturally regulate the amount of iron; unless you have had iron levels measured and found to be excessive, you should not be trying to rid your system of iron.

All the other answers suggested better dental hygiene was the solution: brush teeth, floss, and see the dentist. I think those other answers were correct.
