doesn't anyone look to see if their question has already been posted?!

NO, it is not statutory rape or child molestation, He is 18 and she is 16. It has to be more then 3 years in age difference for it to be statutory rape (child molestation applies to a younger age group).

I read an article that says they plan to marry, of course the chances of the marriage lasting 5 years is probably unlikely. Even more that their marrying mostly due to the fact she is pregnant.

It isn't statutory rape. #1, They're not far apart enough in years for it to be illegal, #2, her mother gave her consent for them to be together and # 3, she is of the age of consent. It has nothing to do with Hollywood.

I can't believe how many people who throw the term around... don't understand what statutory rape is. They were two teenagers who had unprotected (or under-protected) sex and she got pregnant. He didn't attack her or force her to do it against her will...and she is no more the victim than he is. They're in this together. It's not a matter of someone getting one over on someone else.

I did not think of this when I read about her pregnancy.
It depends upon where she was. Every state has a minimum age of consent for when a girl can legally have sexual relations.

who cares? questions about her are getting pretty old!

Perhaps the "celebrity" section would be a better location for this question.
