I have an idea, and I was wondering what you all think- can we have some encouraging words here today? Thanks

Ok, I am guessing I will have to be the first to give an encouraging word- May God richly bless you in all that you do, and I hope that everyone has a great holiday.

just in case you did not get it- we need to encourage each other, don't you think?

now why would I not accept encouraging words from an atheist? That is the reason I asked this question, because of answers like yours

I did not say that encouraging words had to have God in it. Just because mine did, I am proving a point here, I just wanted everyone to encourage the way that they felt like encouraging without questioning someone else's beliefs

God loves you all, Merry Christmas!

And for those who prefer not hear about God: Happy Holidays!

One verse I'm coming to love more and more each day is Acts 28:15, where we read that Paul praised God and took courage when he saw his Roman friends coming to meet him (for the first time?). We have brothers and sisters in Christ that we may never meet on this earth. That's okay, because we have Jesus! We also have the Bible, freedom to worship, and so many other things. And we also have this forum in which we can share encouraging words. I don't have a single specific verse to share, save what I mentioned at the top, but the Word of God is full of these promises. My mother's life verse is Joshua 1:9; Dr. J. Vernon McGee's was Philippians 1:6 (he's the speaker on the Thru The Bible Radio program--listen to it if you can); and so many more.

Finally, your request for encouraging words was an encouragement to me! It's good to see folks who want to put some GOOD stuff on here! Thanks!

''But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.'' Deuteronomy 3:28

It is essential to everyone who is to be a leader to be encouraged. We would do well to always speak words of encouragement to are Brethren. But at the same time we should never be slothful in giving good instruction should they err from the path of righteousness. Here Joshua is given a charge before being encouraged. In doing this he was encouraged in the right direction, and not the wrong.

I am feeling VERY encouraged. I was finally able to download a program specifically for Internet Explorer that blocks those god-awful talking GAP ads on here.

If anyone else feels like they could use a little encouragement of the same type, and you have IE, please visit here for the free download:

And for those who use firefox or mozilla, go get your AdBlock, easy peasy nice and cheesy.

I can only give encouragement as an Atheist and I'm not sure that you would take that. But we're all getting presents in the near future. :)

1) Your the best
2) Never give up

Edit:
That's what I was trying to do with two encouraging statements.

Go ahead. I guess I'll just edit my post once you edit yours.

Wow... I feel silly... sorry about not getting the favor there at first. I think that's a fine idea. Hey everybody, have a nice day :D

Why is it that encouraging words have to include G-d in it?
