I've never had it checked because I always thought it was due to my new job working on the computer for straight 8 hours a day. My eyes hurt, burned, it was throbbing in a sense that I just wanted to pluck them out so that the pain will go away.

DO you think I have the fungus infection that can cause blindness?

It was Complete that was recalled and it was an amoeba infection, not fungal. And there were a total of 130 cases over several years in all of North America.

Signs of infection would include red eyes and discharge. More likely you have dry eye.

To avoid infections with contact lenses, be sure to rub and rinse lenses after every wear, discard used solution every morning and use fresh solution very night. Never just top up the old solution.

And see you eye doctor or lens fitter to discover what is wrong with your eyes.

additonal note re B&L Renu Moisture Loc
That happened over a year ago and the solution was taken off the market. Regular Renu is still on the market and it what you would have used and what new users are given.

The problems with Renu Moisture Loc were due to patient non compliance. Instead of throwing out solution in their cases after inserting the lenses, the affected patients kept it and reused it, just topping up. Problems were seen in patients who topped up at least 4 times (5 days without throwing out solution!!!!!).

How about you go get it checked out by an eye doctor? An internet message board is not a replacement for proper health care.
