Well, if your Priest denies you - what then?

Find another priest.

Oh, please use contraception.

Have Faith - the Pope is wrong. We've created all the multitudes we need and more.

Yes. Call your local Catholic Church. You need to go through instruction and then you and your son can be baptized on the Easter Vigil. You will receive your First Communion and Confirmation at that time.

If you WANT to be Baptized, then YES you can be Baptized with your son. That would be a beautiful ceremony. My suggestion is to talk to your pastor/priest and let him know that's what you want. There's a likelihood that he'll want to offer some education to you, so that you're aware of what being Baptized means. Good luck, and congratulations to both of you.

ETA: Well you may not currently belong to a church or have a priest but you're going to have to in order to get Baptized. You're going to have to choose a church that feels right for you, and talk to the priest of that church. Talk to friends and family that belong to a church and ask them what they like about the church they belong to. If you like their answers, you can further investigate by attending a mass or two to see if you like it there, and then approach the priest after one of the masses and tell him what you want. He'll likely give you the phone number for the rectory and ask you to make an appointment to discuss it further.

Yes.

I have witnessed the baptism of a father and his baby on Holy Saturday night.

You will have to begin the Christian initiation process for this to happen.

If you are interested in joining or just learning more about the Catholic Church, contact your local parish and ask about information about their RCIA Inquiry group.

You can go and ask any questions you want.

This is the first step in RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) but you can stop at any time.

There is no obligation to become a Catholic.

With love and prayers in Christ.

Yes, you can be baptized, but you need to take instruction in the Catholic faith, first. It's called RCIA in the U.S.

Your baby can be baptized when you have become Catholic -- you have to be baptized & confirmed first so that the priest knows you will raise the baby Catholic.

Yes. Talk to the priest ahead of time. He can explain the conditions to you. Among other things you need to have an understanding of the teachings of the Church and be willing to follow them. There may be some instruction that you may need to go through.

I assume you could take catechism classes to join the catholic church. I see no reason you couldn't be baptized together. Its not unheard of, I'm certain.

Well, I would suggest that you actually "meet" a Priest and have him baptize you and the baby at the same time, that would be completely fine; and then get your sorry hindtails to Mass, young lady! lol. God bless you! Peace.

I would think that any Catholic church would be willing to baptize your child.

Aw sweety - go talk to your priest, or to a priest who is considered moderate. I know of one if you're in Bismarck!
