Why do they reject eternal life in perfection, received through a free gift, without rational examination and prayer? Is life so worthless to them that the prospect of living forever seem bleak?

Some have asked for proof or claimed that there is no evidence. The proof is all around us, and within us, but the best proof is available to each individual who is willing to take the enermous risk of putting aside prejudice and preconceived ideas, and pray humbly for the wisdom that only God can provide. James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.

great question- I wonder that too- Christ paid the price that we could never pay, so that we could live eternally with Him- but until they come to that realization and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to them, because He is really the only one that can lead anyone to Christ- we just have to pray and continue to share Christ's love with everyone we meet. Merry Christmas!!

A loose present? You do comprehend that religious theory is, and continually has been, in accordance with little extra desirable than subculture. around 3/4 of the international inhabitants will shop on the ideals of their father and mom religiosity in some denomination or format (ninety% Buddhism in Thailand, ninety 5% Hindu in India, ninety 5% Shinto in Japan, etc, etc. ) newborn indoctrination is extremely psychological. whether a newborn isn't rapidly indoctrinated right into a faith, if born right into a faith with a solid cultural identification, the impression could properly be the comparable. some distance previous the logical fallacies of prepared religions, the God i'm assuming you're pertaining to (Yahweh, as this message board is published on predominantly from the U. S.) is between the main twisted creations of the human recommendations. The previous testomony is obviously a manufactured from the subculture it got here, one wherein women have been regarded down upon, the prepare of stoning became into used for many mundane issues, and slavery became into completely ideal. To no marvel, basically about all those issues are modern and inspired in the OT. human beings pray and think of they have religious actuality from all religions, and have been doing so via fact the earliest poly and pantheistic faith. seem on the eastern religions, those persons are way extra religious of their religious practices than the common westerner, if i became into going to head by the movements of the religious as a meter of actuality, i might seem at Hinduism or Buddhism.

I do not need god, prayers, religion or going to church to make my life better.
What proof do you have to show that with these things my life will be better?

How certain are you? What about those people who were killed in church? Why did "god" not protect them?

So what proof can you give to support your claim that with god, religion, prayer and church will make someone's life better?

What works for one person will not work for someone else.

I would rather live my life for the here and now than to waste my time believing in an eternal place called heaven.

Rational examination? How the hell do you examine ANY fundamentally unprovable concept rationally?! Ar you suggesting that merely believing something based on wishful thinking or emotional bias is rational?! If so, buy a freaking dictionary or a philosophy or logic book or SOMETHING!!

Because I haven't seen much peace, love or acceptance in the religion. I asked for 15 years and got no answer from God or Christ.

I did from my deities, once I knew where to look and who to ask.

As for "living forever" - I do have an afterlife to look forward to, just not your heaven.

Thank you for the concern but my path is the one meant for me. May you continue to be blessed on yours.

Because we don't buy into your premise that (a) any of this stuff exists and (b) that it's the best thing that could ever happen to anyone?

I'd love to live forever--I just know it doesn't happen. It's called realism.

Because there is ZERO evidence for it.
My life is not bleak, quite the contrary.
And I have absolutely no need whatsoever for an imaginary sky pixie.
I only feel pity for those who do.

Edit. "The proof is all around us, and within us"
Exactly what I was saying. Your proof is non-existent and is, in fact, nothing but a delusion that you share with other deluded fools.

I was actually angrier and felt worse when I tried pushing Christianity on myself. Now that I am agnostic, I am happier. No, it isn't the best thing for everyone.

Because they don't believe in God. The proof is in the Bible. If they read and studied it; they would find out the truth for themselves. What a shame for so many to miss out.
