My best of best friends told me she could read minds. I don't know what to think. But this is one of those people that barley lie about anything. Like, you can trust her with your life. She's really supernatural too.

She has such freaky proof to prove it.
Would you believe her?

She may have convinced herself she has this ability, so therefore is NOT lieing, but that doesn't mean she has this ability. I would not believe her.
The fact that you are asking this question, leads me to believe that you believe in this type of thing and are excited at the prospect that she may have this power...so I'm guessing you will probably gave in and believe her at some point because you deep down WANT to believe in something spiritual that you can see/feel/observe.

That's my guess anyways.

Here is why I would NOT believe her, besides the primary fact that I don't believe that God allows this ability....

1) Not a single Psychic has passed scientific scrutiny. When put to a test, they always fail to return consistent results. Remember if this is a TRUE ability, then they should be able to make predictions with more precision and with HIGHER percentages or RIGHT answers then the average public, but when tested...they average only SLIGHTLY or SAME as the general public. The Results are sooo slight, it is more probably that they are smart, intuitive people, making good GUESES then Psychic.

2) Most so called 'psychics' work by throwing out alot of vague phrases/ideas and watch peoples responses, then start getting more and more specific as the person starts responding. - Carefully watch that old TV show "Crossing Over" where the psychic talks to dead people, he makes vague inferences, waits for people to respond and then says "YEAH, that's the feeling I was gettings, something like____" and gets the person to give him specifics he can work with. -- He ALWAYS has to get the person to acknowledge that what he is saying is RIGHT, before he moves deeper.

3) When psychics positive/negative records are compared they are wrong WAY more then they are right..but because people WANT to believe in them, they forget the wrongs and remember the rights. - Again, going back to #1, they should have statistically WAY better averages then the general public or someone making careful guesses, but they DON'T

4) Interpreting psychics predictions AFTER the fact, tends to lead people to interpret them in a positive way, rather then at face value

5) Most Psychics are more accurate when predicting people who they KNOW really well, but have little ability when it comes to strangers. -- This is similar to how the general public is more accurate when making guesses about people they know then a complete stranger.

SO... taking ALL the information we have about ALOT of psychics and we get a pretty good picture that regardless of whether or not they are lieing about their ability, (and I believe that a lot of them are under the mistaken belief that they HAVE this ability) We simply find that they don't fair any better on average then an intelligent person, making well educated guesses.

It could be that some seducing spirit is feeding clues to her mind so that she thinks that she has the power to read minds. I don't think that a person can actually receive the thoughts of another person all by them self.

Tell her you're thinking of a number between one and twenty.
Does she guess it on the first try?
Do it again.
And again.
Narrow it down to between one and ten.
Try it again.
And again.
Narrow it down to between one and five.

I know she'll probably say that that's not how it works, but if you can read minds then you can read minds.
I'm sure she probably isn't being deliberately dishonest, but there's a difference between having a good intuition, and actually being able to "read minds."

Think of something and tell her to read your mind.

Whether you are dealing with so called ghosts, aliens or psychics, the only way to know if you are being deceived is to know the word of God (scripture) and know it well. Test the spirits to see if they are of God, or if you are being deceived by a lying spirit.

1 John 4:1
"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try [test] the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. (2) Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: (3) And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. (4) Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (5) They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. (6) We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error."

Well, I'd personally seek some proof. Like - have her demonstrate the ability for me several times in a row just to make sure it's not a lucky guess.

Don't bother, if she claims to really be able to read your mind, she knows what you are going through and if she is a real friend will help you sort it out

Well, if she could read my mind by having a conversation with me without my speaking.... that would pretty much seal the deal for me. Otherwise, no.

If my best friend tells me he or she can read my mind, I would not believe it. If they are my best friend, and able to read minds then there are times we would definately not be best friends.... it is a trick.,
