i have moved since i was working at my last jobs and i wanted to know if i can do my taxes before i recieve my w2's?

It is better to wait until you have your w-2 information, so that you can attach it to your return. If you don't provide w-2 with your return IRS will then have to send your return to an EXAM or underreported income team to review your return and make sure you didn't underreport your wages.

Unless you have the info from somewhere else it will be impossible to fill out some of the boxes. When it comes time to actually file the taxes you will definitely need the w-2 at that point.

You need the W-2s and if you have more than one please wait until you have them all before doing your taxes. If you don't have them all and you file then you will need to amend your return. If you don't then you will eventually get a letter from the IRS.

Use your final 07 numbers off the last 07 paycheck stub.
IRS never flinches on this.

You can "prepare" them but you can't "submit" them.
