I sure hope so. I see a lot of children being raised without discipline and that comes from the liberals that tell you discipline is abuse. So now we have a out of control group of young people and everyone wonders why? If you really love your children then discipline them please. Discipline = Love. It is not abuse.

I wouldn't say I'm strict but I make sure they know the difference between right and wrong. Playing nicely, no name calling, helping others, at mealtimes-we eat instead of goofing around, homework comes first. Take turns talking and listen to others You know all that stuff that parents teaches their kids.
But no I don't lock them in their room, I don't talk down to them, I don't let them not have fun.

overall no, but when it comes to things like grades,& curfews, I'm pretty strict. I'm trying to let my kids 13 & 15 be kids but still teach them responsibility and respect to others. They tell me I'm doing a pretty good job.

I teach accountability, and I'm pretty rigid on that point, but I don't think of myself as unapproachably strict.
