1. cut on fatty food and sugary food and overall calories; it's hard to do it during this season because, there is always tempty food in front of you.
2. Do Crunches ( both straight and oblique), lunges, v-sits, leg-ups (leg-raises) for tummy and jogging and running for overal fat burn.
3. I would recommend what worked for me, but every one is different and you will have to find out what works for you without pulling muscles - 50 to 100 crunches of each type(straight , left oblique, right oblique) each day 3 to 4 days a week, along with 50 to100 v-sits as well as 50-100 leg-raises.
In all liklyhood, your stomuch muscle will cramp after 2 days and you will be forced to take a break for 2 or 3 days. Always listen to your body muscle about it's condition, otherwise you will overdo and pull a muscle or something like that. So you will be able to do it in 10 days comfortably without some chemical pills(may be). It will also depend on how much fat is on you now. Jogging and running, I found will burn a lots of calories; so make it a habit to jogg or run 3 to 4 days a weeks for about 1/2 hour.
Finally it would be more realistic to give yourself 1 month than 10 days. Good Luck.

To tone your stomach, you need to tighten the muscles accross the stomach. This alone will make you look slimmer and help your posture (stretch your back maybe 2 times to support it as well).
The best way to tone your stomach is to get on the floor in front of the tv, with your feet wedged under the television stand. Every time there is an ad break, do sit ups. It'll burn a bit, but this will make the muscles stronger and tighter.
The more muscle you have, the more energy you will burn. Build the muscles first, and you will find what you consume over Xmas will have less of an affect on your waistline.

Find an ice cube tray. Trim it down so that the tray has three cube pockets on each side. Shave your tummy if it is hairy. You won't regret it. Duct tape the tray tightly to your stomach. If you're chubby try and get some of that girth in the individual pockets. After a night or two take the tray off of your stomach. Enjoy the nice six pack you will have for the next day or two!

Christmas is not the best time for diets... too much temptation and you should be able to enjoy yourself at this one time of year without putting too much pressure on yourself!
If you are still wanting to get toned by New Year, exercise and a balanced diet is the best idea...
Eat sensibly (DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF!) - no chocolates/crisps/roast potatoes.... Plenty of cereal, fruit, fibre, fresh fish...
Alcohol is also a great source of calories so you will have to avoid this as much as possible as well....
Use the last minute shopping as an excuse to get lots of walking in! Do some sit ups every day as this will cause your stomach muscles to tighten, skipping is also a great way of getting your blood pumping!
It will be tough to do it in such a short time span though so don't put too much pressure on yourself if you don't quite get where you want to!
Good luck!

With so many people wanting the answer to that question, especially now, you will have helped many by asking it. It doesn't have to be as difficult as you might think as there is good news, which is that a great solution I know that many have used sucessfully to achieve this result is theTruth About Abs program created by Mike Geary. Check it out as it just might be the solution for you also. Best of luck.

Well, depending on your size and shape right now, by the new year, that may be impossible! But, if you are just looking for some tone on an already small abdomen, sit-ups seem to do pretty well.
