I want to hook up my PC to my HDTV with HDMI and get sound from the TV since I don't have a home theatre sound system .

I have a DVI to HDMI adaptor but that only for video and I was wondering if there is some kind of adaptor that can connect my computer's DVI and audio together so they can output both through one HDMI so I can get video and audio from the TV.

Or any other ideas are welcome as well.

Most TVs (if not all) have at least one HDMI input that accepts a separate analog audio for just this reason - to support DVI connections. So check your TV's manual and see how you can input separate audio.
The options are:
an HDMI connector with separate audio next to it
An HDMi connector, but audio via the "PC" audio port
An HDMI connector, but audio via the composite audio port.

No, there is no such adapter because the audio output of your PC is analog and HDMI carried digital audio and that is what the TV is looking for on the other end.
