You know, as a way of identifying yourself as one of the 'not-so-ignorant-Christians'?

I have seen this bumper sticker "God Wants Spiritual Fruits Not Religious Nuts". It actually cracked me up & I'm atheist.

Anyone can buy a bumper sticker that identifies them as anything they want. Living a truly Christian life is the best witness and therefore, identification. I'm not talking about being "religious," because that is absolutely not what Christianity is about. Christ did not command His followers to get in people's faces, beat them over the head with bibles, dress badly and never have fun; lest we forget, Jesus was the one who turned water into wine at a wedding, although we are commanded not to get drunk. He was all about loving, and forgiving, and that's what He wants us to do. Jesus was adamantly against intolerance, hate, judgementalness (is that a word?) and selfishness. I truly believe that it was ignorance that caused the Pharasees, Herod and Pilate to fear and therefore kill him. Had they not been ignorant, they could have understood Christ's message. Sadly, there are too many people who exhibit all of those behaviours, but because they go to church every Sunday and have an "I'm Christian" bumper sticker, think they are Christian. To quote Joyce Meyer, "I can sit in my garage all day and that won't make me a car."

People would still take your expression the way THEY wanted to. . .

You express yourself b/c you feel strongly about something--strongly enough to go outside and slap a $6.99 vinyl sticker on your bumper. They would think that you were fanactical just for doing that, even though all you wanted to do was express your contentment and joy.

I myself like the fish-shape that says "SUSHI." I do have a sense of humor. And I am neither a DARWIN fish/thing with legs fanatic nor a person pretending to be a Christian while flipping people off while driving fanatic.

Christians and non-christians alike who advertise their religious/political views like some sort of badge of honor to complete strangers is ludicrious to me. Why should anyone of any belief advertise they arent like someone else? Plus, ever try to remove a bumper sticker off your car?

I would never destroy my car with a bumper sticker. That's blasphemy! I guess I am more of a car guy than a Christian.
And By the way...you have the right to have religion, not the right to shut others up.

Bumper stickers are tacky.
Never would I cheapen my car with one of any kind.

BTW, that semi-colon should be replaced with a colon.
I KNOW you want to be a grammatically correct atheist.

Interesting idea... Of course the moderates, almost by definition, are not the ones prone to advertising their beliefs...

There are other ways to tell the world you are not ignorant....Your question is not an example of one, however...
