Back in the day, it was considered sexy for a girl to have curves. Not fat, but large breasts and hips, with a small waist. I have an extremely curvy figure (36in bust, 22in waist, 36in hips) and I'm rather petite. It seems as though I can't find any clothing that suits me. Is this because it is no longer sexy to be curvy? All of the trendy clothing is only flattering on women who are quite flat chested and about 6ft tall. It looks like maternity wear on me, and it's begining to make me feel fat rather than feminine. What are your opinions?

Lane Bryant? I wear a size 2! It's just that I'm curvy.

Of course curves are still sexy! I'd rather see a woman with curves than the women in the media today who look like they have the body of a 12-year old boy. Heh!

Don't give up hope with finding clothes that fit you. Keep shopping, and ask around for peoples' recommendations for local clothing stores.

A lot of today's fashions are tacky anyhow... so you're almost better off finding clothes that flatter you, rather than trying to search for a trendy piece that won't. Play up what the good lord gave you, and flaunt your best features. :)

I know how you feel. I have the same problem. I learned that I have what I have and I learned to live with being blessed in the curvy department. Trendy cloths are made for non-curvy girls, but I like going outside the box to find cloths that look good on me and not everyone else.

Even though some of the world's sexiest girls are very slender, your figure is quite nice, as you described it. So even though I'm a guy, my suggestion would be for you to go to a specialty women's clothes shoppe -- where they not only can fit you attractively, to accent your curves, but also can do alterations. Then you should look great!

Lita is about my size, and you're pretty close. Many petite women have that build (in my case, I'm 4' 10") and lots of guys have asked me out. I'd venture to say that curves are definitely sexy ;)

Yes! Curves are sexy! Why do you think women keep trying to get a Jennifer Lopez butt? Curves make the woman.

I think that curves are delightful, and am pleased for you that you have some. Shopping for clothes is frequently a problem (according to my spouse), but with diligence you should be able to look great.

It has nothing to do with being sexy or not. Its just that young ladies are trying to look like the sick girls on TV. I too am curvaceous(43, 26, 38) and my husband loves my lovely lady lumps.
