And the people who teach and Harvard and Yale (both Christian schools), people who work at NASA, etc... Are they also just not very smart?

Probably. One of the drawbacks of being ignorant is that ignorant people are ignorant of their own ignorance. That's why Eustiss T. Cornball of Spitkick, Alabammy thinks he knows more about science than somebody with a Ph.D. in Paleontology from MIT.

That's why I tend to not debate most creationists--you really can't win an argument against someone who's too stupid to realize they've been brow-beaten (like the folks who'll inevitably give this a thumbs down)...

I had a conversation about Foolish Scientists with a chap from Y&A on Yahoo messenger . To save his embarrassment I will Call him ‘ Mr N ‘

Me: Everything is Physical
>Mr N: who taught you that?
Me: I learned it from those busy scientists
>Mr N. they are foolish , do you have a bible ?
Me: Foolish ?
>Mr N. Yes , they are 1000 years back
Me: Foolish to find the secrets of DNA ? Foolish to find a cure for Polio ?
>Mr N: That was in the bible , every thing is in the bible , I can prove it to you the earth was round , always.
Me : You are confusing me , how can scientist be ' foolish ' , when they discover so many things , like , how too grow food in poor soil ?
>Mr N: The bible speaks about it.

Conclusion: Scientists are stupid because the Bible says so. Once again an English word has been re-defined for the benefit of Christianity. Verse 20 in 1 Corinthians says as much ‘ God made foolish the wisdom of the world ‘ – it is a bit like saying God made Tall the Short of the world , all those over 6’2” are short because only short people know God. The short are too tall to know God .

1 Corinthians 1:20-25 talks about calling the Greek people foolish. The Greeks just so happened to be the most advanced and wise civilisation in the world at the time. There is no incentive to be wise because the wise do not know God .

They are in effect saying you can be too clever to Believe in a God all clever people are Atheists . And all Christians are foolish , I think I can agree with that.

Well, creationism and intelligence don't go together at all, so it makes a perverse kind of sense.

And some other person here made a strange comment about scientists not "knowing 100%" where the universe came from, so "stop saying your ideas are better than ours." Scientists don't know *anything* 100%, but their methods of finding things out and separating good ideas from bad *are* better than yours - because they *work*!

Wrong again, flamespeak: Einstein was never a god-believer or even a deist. He actually detested religion and described himself as religious only the sense of being in awe of the universe (Spinoza's 'god' = nature). During his lifetime it was downright dangerous to be an atheist - thanks to the built-in intolerance of believers - and he did not like being asked about it. He used expressions like "God does not play dice" in a metaphorical sense only, because that's how people talked back then, similar to adding "In the Year of Our Lord" before a date. The Supreme Court calls this "ceremonial deism" when it has to find a way to keep "In God We Trust" on our currency, for another example. Personally I would like to see it all go away once and for all, but will have to live with hearing these pious inanities for the forseeable future.

They are very smart if they are judged by the same standards as their peers in relation to the same belief systems. In reality, some of the most educated people I've ever met were also some of the dumbest. I wondered how they walked and breathed at the same time.

Have you ever wondered why some scholars are such social retards? Have you ever wondered how we could have so many technological and scientific advances while man continues to go downhill? Diplomas don't always equal wisdom. Think about it. It's completely stupid to equate man's spiritual well being with his scientific knowledge.

I think the problem is that we are all biased in one way or another. We all start of with presuppositions. There are Phd's on both sides of the argument.

"Everyone who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the universe--a spirit vastly superior to that of man"

"Science without religion is lame; religion without science is blind"

I don't think there is any disagreement about him being smart?

LOL Not necessary just maybe misinformed no one was there and nothing can be proven (unless they found a way to create another earth with new animals?) everything is theory. Keep in mind Columbus was scoffed too! The best scientific minds told him he'd fall off the face of the earth.

When the secular scientists speak about the age of the earth or the age of the universe, they speak in terms of billions of years. This is done deceitfully to support the theory of evolution. Given millions or billions of years, they claim that life would finally evolve. However, we all know, as a matter of common sense, that random chance or chaos cannot produce complexity. This is the law of probability and any scientest fimiliar with this scientific method
should understand this.

The Bible begins: "In the Beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth" (Genesis 1:1). "The Pre-Cambrian " rock is deviod of fossils. The term pre-Cambrian is the earliest epoc in geological history. Suddenly there was an explosion of already fully complex life forms. They did not evolve. They did not have the time. This is bourne out in Genesis 2:19: "Now the Lord had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the air. He bought them to man to see what he would name them."

One of them was the trilobite, which is still present with us today. It did not die out as secular scientest try to pretend. There are still pre-historic animals flying reptiles still found in the Congo and New Guinea. Scientists thought that they were suppose to have been extinct millions of years ago. Case in point, the modern day coelancath (pre-historic fish). After 400 million years , it is still with us today.

There are quite a number of other fish that did not die out after millions of years. Through false radio-carbon dating techniques, it has been found that what was assigned millions or billions of years was only a few thousand years. This is quite a common piece of deception that is frequent among evolutionists.

The evolutionists also state that the dinosaurs or all the pre-
historic creatures died out 175 millions uears ago. If this is so, why have there been found woolly mammoths in Siberia dated at only 4, 100 years? Again there is deceitful evidence. In Job 24, there is a fitting description of a barchiosaurs. This was writthen in 2000 B.C.

I've honestly heard a creationist say that these people were both brainwashed and biased. . . . .

[edit] Flamespeak, 100% certainty is not necessary to evaluate which ideas are more rational.

Probably. The ego I see displayed by some of them is just amazing. I've pointed out errors to some of them using the Encyclopedia Britannica and they insist they know better. The ego knows no bounds.

Do you think all 2000 members are evolutionists and non-believers??
whatever happened during the creation (or evolution) of the universe, it was God that caused it to happen.
