I'm 17 and I like a guy. At times I thought he liked me, for different reasons(touching me,sitting right next to me,compliments etc.)We have the same movie and music taste, some of the same interests, same humor and same religious/political views.We've had so much fun, and me being just myself.Problem is, he's going out of the class for next semester,and I don't see him outside of school.I asked him if he'd like to hang out during christmas brakeThis is what he said: "Is that what Germans do? hang out at people's houses? No wait, you're Norwegian right?" I say "Yeah, but I was thinking we could hang out at the mall or something." "Oh, well, I'm going to be there tonight." "I can't tonight, I'm hanging out with friends." "Oh, well, tomorrow then." Conversation went while he was speeding down the hallway.He was acting all wierd, like he wanted to be as far away from me as possible. I just said cya. Why is he acting like this when I talk to him alone? Does he want to get rid of me?

Oh yeah, and a friend of mine has his nubmer. Think I should ask her for it and send him message? Or does it make me look desperate? he's going to wonder where I got the number.

This is frustrating. You get all kinds of positive signals, the touching the compliments and so on, but when you put the chips on the table he folds. That conversation in the hallway gave all the indicators he's not interested in seeing you over the holidays. You will likely just end up feeling stupid after a phone call as well.
The feelings you get when you're with him are real. He really feels something for you and is attracted to you. But he's unwilling to take it to the next level. He could be dating somebody already, or not wanting to start something when he's leaving, or just be terrified of intimacy and unable to open his heart to anyone. Whatever the reason, the bottom line is the bottom line. He told you no. As hard as it is the best thing is to move on.
But on the other side of the coin. If this is really that strong for you then call him. You risk feeling like an idiot again but then you'll know for sure. And you won't spend the rest of your days wondering.

He maybe want to be macho and hanging around the mall not what he want but do not go any place private with him why not suggest a coffee and chat see how he responds? Remember guys not all that confident when it come to girls. They pretend but really the need help to be confident. You have a great holiday and remember there is more than one fish in the sea.

Well maybe he just wants to be friend and take things slow. About the touching i do not know. But about the compliments and stuff maybe he wants to be friends take thinks slow and be your boyfriend maybe he has a girl friend.
About the number. Make sure your friend does not like him and if she doesn't say to {him} Hey whats up and stuff strike a short convo then say hey i got to go I'll call you later. leave in a hurry. Ask your friend for his number

He sounds shy, or it could just be tht hes having a bad day. Be weary of bad rumors going round about u- e.g. u have a bf, etc.
