I have s-video jack on laptop and want to connect it to my s-video on tv, no information need help

The following is for Windows. Its probably easier for Mac.

The s-video output of your laptop will usually need to be displayed as a second monitor. Go to the control panel and select Display, then Settings. There should be a setting for you "second monitor" if you've connected the S-Video cable. Try settings of 640x480 or 800x600 (24 bits or millions of colors) to see which works best.

Take a window on your laptop screen and drag it over to the second monitor (the TV) for display.
