We tend to eat away our nerves, but I think we should always try drinking first.
It helps fill us up on fewer calories, and some times we are eating ONLY because we are just thirsty, and may not know it.
Liquid seems common and unexciting, but we are made of water, and we need to drink a lot.

So far, the best therapy for me when I'm stressed or "jumpy" is a big mug of hot chocolate with mini marshmallows, then working off the calories with a romp in the hay with Sean Connery.
Oh wait, the last part was only a dream, but I'll bet it would work! :-)

Yoga is excellent if you have time, practicing some of the poses and breathing exercises would re-focus you and help clear your mind. If you must, try chamomile tea or eat sunflower seeds that you have to shell. Don't eat something that you simply pop in your mouth - you will eat too much and too fast if you are nervous.

Drink!
Nerves contain blood and liquid can be easily converted to blood.
