Go back far enough and we all came from the same place. WE all belong to the human race and we should be ashamed of ourselves for trying to differentiate. Get rid of race and religion, and I don't mean faith in anything you like, and the world would be a much better place.

Persians belong to a population that can be traced back to Indo-European Aryans, known as Iranians or Proto-Aryans. Indeed, the Farsi word "Iran" can be translated as "land of the Aryans". Thus, part of the Nazi interest in this region during World War II stems from the Persians' ancient origins--not to mention their oil supply--their having migrated from Central Asia or Southern Russia to their present location.
Ancient Iranian cultures include the Medes, Persians, Bachthians, and Parthians--all of whom settled in the Iranian Plateau, making up the heart of Cyrus the Great's Empire during the Achaemenid Dynasty--as well as the Scythians, Cimmerians, Sarinatians, and Alans--all of whom settled in the steppes north of the Black Sea. Present-day Iranian peoples include the Persians and Tajks of Iran along with Afghanistan and Tajistan populations, Pashtuns, Kurds, Balocks, Saka, and Scythinans.

Currently race cannot be determined from DNA. It may be in the future that someone will discover the patterns in DNA that can tell us a person's race but right now we can't tell.
So, Persians and Europeans have similar DNA only in the same way that all humans have similar DNA.
But Persian people are generally thought to be more closely related to Aryans than other racial groups based on the movements of people in ancient times.

Persians(Iranians) are Indo-Europeans. Indo-Europeans of the caucasian race. There are also caucasians who are not Indo-Euroeans; Hebrews and Arabs for example.
You use the word aryans. Well the original Aryans are the Iranians as well as some people in India, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. My family is in large part of Irish ancestry. The Gaelic name for Ireland, Eire(or Erin), and Iran supposedly both come from the same ancient root as Aryan.

Linguistically, anyway. Farsi (Persian) is an Indo-European (aka Aryan) language and is therefore related to most of the languages of Europe, as well as those of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and much of India. As for physical characteristics, I once heard an Iranian college student say rather indignantly that Iranians were Aryans and that the dark coloring and somewhat Semitic features were the result of coerced intermarriage with Arabs centuries ago. (Keep in mind that that was HIS assessment, not mine!)

Indo-Europeans. Interesting tribal group. Invented the wheel and worshiped the hearth-fire. Pretty much exploded from somewhere, supposedly the steppes of Russia. Very little else is known, other than that they're known for being "wild and crazy" guys.
They all have the same root word for "snow," even in Arabic.

All people are part of the human race, there are slight differences in DNA which governs hair color, skin color, eye color, shape and size but people are the same the world over.

Yes, we all belong to the same race...the human race.
Anything else is too insignificant to matter to me.

They are a mixture mainly of Caucasian and Arabic peoples. They are culturally distinct from Arabs and tend to dislike them, so they like to say they're not related, but they are. Of course all humans are related, and racial distinctions are pretty arbitrary.
