Im a senior in high school, and was just looking for alittle advice thanks.

No. The Marines do not have firefighters (people that put out fires). When the Marines get in to a fire fight, that means they are shooting at people and people are shooting at them.

The Navy has a rate (Damage Control) that amongst other duties fight fires. On submarines (where I was in the Navy) all personnel are trained to fight fires.

The Air Force has a fire fighter specialty.

I would imagine the Coast Guard is similar to the Navy and the Army is similar to the Marines regarding the above.

No, because you don't have a choice in the Marine Corp. You can however get a guaranteed job in the Air Force and I believe you can in the Navy too.

You can be a fire fighter in the Marines. We have crash fire rescue as the Airforce does. You wont be climbing a ladder into burning buildings, and it is hard to get into because it is a small field.

No, depending on what kind of fire fighter you want to be, your best bet is with the Air Force as a fire fighter on the flight line or the National Park service. Better yet, be a civilian fire fighter.
