i like this question, and here is one guys Honest opinion...
Personally i like to have people think i am with a "good girl" certainly more on the shy side. and i don't like her to talk amongst friends about our private affairs good or bad.. .. but when we are together privately i like her to be a bit more open... tell me what she likes and to be adventurous..but i don't want her to be crude and vulgar about it per say.. i mean i don't want to hear things like after dinner putting the dishes away , hey you know tonight why don't you @%$& #*&% me on the couch... thats just wierd and its totaly out of place... but when the forplay starts and the sparks are ignited, then yea let loose and talk to me.. girls like to think a guy is going to magically know exactly what she wants, truth is girls all like differnt things so talk to us and try differnt things find out what makes you and him tick... do that and life will be great in the bedroom.

It would be a good idea for a girl to be comfortable with her own sexuality before pursuing a male or interacting with one on a personal level, and that includes being comfortable about talking about sex. To the guy trying to get closer to his girlfriend or close lady friend, "shyness" from her when it comes to matters of the bedroom may convey a sign of unresponsiveness, a "closed-door" if you will, and may develop into a turn-off for him.
On that same note, it is never a good idea to become overbearing when it comes to sexual talk, and by that I mean forcing sexual conversations or innuendos at a time when you as the female do not feel comfortable in doing so.
Most guys do prefer openness when it comes to sexual talk, but you'll find even more that the good guys prefer their female counterparts to be comfortable with them when they do so. So follow your heart when it comes to sexual talk (seriously) and never be afraid to express yourself to your friend or partner. Remember, openness does have its clear advantages. Openness about sex opens more lines of communication, which, experts agree, are necessary for good, healthy, and lasting relationships.
Done. = )

It depends but as a general rule I think: "Shy in public; open in private" would be the best combination.

Not a guy, but they want a lady in public & a freak in the bedroom. Sounds cliche--but no truer words were ever spoken.
