did you used to have to ask your parents if you had eaten enough at dinner? After I finished, I'd always say "Is that enough?" And my dad would always say "__ more bites" Depending on how much I had eaten. Did anyone else do this?

yup ALL the time. every 2 minutes I would be like is that enough?? And my parents would be like No more bites :P and i would get so sad.

No. I've been an eater my whole life. They did, however, force me to at least take 1 bite of something I protested (like broccoli). I do remember my Mom telling me, as I cried my heart out over a plate of cabbage, to eat it because children were starving in other places. I'll eat cabbage now - but not with gusto :-)
Favorite meal growing up: fresh cantalope, pork chops, biscuits w/red eye gravy.

lol haha yeah, however old i was at the time i would have to eat a bite for each year. lol so when i was 7 i had to eat 7 more bites.

No. My parents always made sure there was enough food on the table and they always knew when my siblings and I were full.

well yeah, i think mostly everyone had to eat more if their parents told them to. but my parents would always show me a picture of my cousins in mexico, they were really skinny and were poorer than we wereand she would tell us that they did not have any food sometimes and that we had to eat everything in our plates and be gratefull of what we had and the nice food we ate. it was only beans, but to me that is the best food.

my mom usually would just have my brothers make me dinner
and I'd eat in front of the tv.
my dad was never really in my life.

All the time. My mom would make me sit at the table until everything was gone on my plate....Sometimes that would take a few hours....

when i was younger my parents did even if i couldn't eat any more they would make me i think its because they want to make sure you eat enough and that you get the right nutrition you need it only shows that they care!
