If so what type? I would like to make more soups during the winter season. Would a juicer cut prep time in that regard? Thanks.

Yes, Rhonda 3 times. I wasn't sure which forum would give a response. Sorry if you were irritated. Did you have to take off your shoe to get the correct number? Have a "happy" whatever it is you celebrate.

If you buy one then get one that is easy to clean, you don't want too many parts to clean. For soups I would have thought a blender would have been better.

I use my Juiceman for soups, drinks and such all year long!
Depending on what you'd like to spend, a really really good one on my wish list is the one made by Kitchen Aid, which is a standing mixer with a juice attachment and it comes in a variety of colors too.
Juicer's come in different sizes and costs very depending on the manufacturer. I would start with a smaller one and see how you like it, then go to one that will best meet your needs.
Cheers!
