Senator Inhofe has a reputation as a mindless right wing idealogue. Even his Republican colleagues have been known to wince at his behavior. Famous Inhofe quotes:

After the Oklahoma City bombing, when asked how many workers were in the Murrah Building, “It depends on how many federal workers played hookey today.”

He claimed that the attack on the World Trade Center was caused by America's weak support of Israel:

One of the reasons I believe the spiritual door was opened for an attack against the United States was that the policy of our government has been to ask the Israelis, and demand it with pressure, not to retaliate against the terrorist strikes that have been launched against them.

In the past he's been considered unbeatable in heavily Republican Oklahoma, with his massive amounts of money from the fossil fuel industry.

Now there's a viable Democratic opponent, centrist and pragmatic.

Can he win?

Let's hope he gets voted out. He's an embarrasment to the great State of Oklahoma, and to the entire nation. Whether you agree or disagree with his positions, he is the most unprofessional member of Congress. Oklahoma deserves better.

Its all very Political Bob the great divide between the believers and the unbelievers, (its like some kind of new religious war) but for me its the Democrats, they are more realistic, the Republicans have got themselves in a corner now and are all alone in the world (their last ally in Global Warming Denial 'Australia' Ratified the Kyoto treaty two weeks ago) and it will cost them in next years Presidential election ,as their arguments become even more indefensible. The public will have the last say,as America is a great Democracy and truth is what they cherish the most.

The Oklahoma State House is and has always been a Democratic instutution, but they have been primarily sending Republicans to Washington after they got burned by LBJ. Dream on, Inhofe is staying until they carry him out feet first.

"It's not who votes, it's who counts the votes that matters most"... Joseph Stalin.

Looking at the past 2 Presidential cycles, and the all the fraud and corruption, I would say this guy won't make it. The votes have already been counted if you know what I mean.

This week in Colorado, 75% of our voting machines were de-certified because they don't work, can be hacked and by passing a powerful enough magnet over them they will lock up and be unusable in an election.

Things went south in 2000. George Bush was not elected, the system was tweaked just enough so he could be selected by the Suprem Court.

And every election anywhere in the country since has been similar... they don't count all the votes, the results don't even come close to the exit polls... and people wonder why our country is going down the tubes...

It all depends on who is handling the voting machines. Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver, can you imagine how many Judases can be bought with 1 or 2 billion dollars.

It's not impossible.

Bush beat Kerry by 37% in Oklahoma, but this year polls show trial presidential matchups to be quite competitive, in the low single digits.

AND THE NUMBER 1 THOUGHT FOR 2008:
We know exactly where one cow with Mad-cow-disease is located among the millions and millions of cows in America, but we haven't got a clue as to where thousands of illegal immigrants and terrorists are located. Maybe we should put the Department of Agriculture in charge of immigration

Man I sure hope so.

"Andrew Rice believes our leaders in Washington have already wasted too much time debating the “myth versus reality” of global warming."

Sounds like a huge point of contention between him and Inhofe. We'll see what Oklahomans think about it in the next election.

Regardless, I've had more than my fill of Inhofe's deceit. From misinterpreting scientific papers to creating a quasi-Oregon Petition, it's getting old fast.

I do not know much about Inhofe, but his report on global warming is accurate. Even the Washington Post admits the number of skeptical scientists is growing.
