is there a car alarm i can put on my car that doesnt need automatic door locks?

If you have a RadioShack in your city or county, I would check there. They can and will help you. You could actually talk to someone in person instead of having to search through Google without knowing what to look for.

Pretty much any alarm unit could be utilized, it's just a matter of not connecting/disabling the wires leading from/to the lock solenoids. Just curious what is your concern for the alarm use? If it is for theft, and your car is 2000 or newer chances are it has a transponder system in place. Best course of action is to visit an auto accessories shop. Good Luck --IC
