I'd much rather be doing something than nothing... time seems to go by faster. So, that being said, go help your co-worker.

It's always nice to help someone so you can get out of work, so you can both go home at the same time. I'd appreciate it if someone did that for me. It gives a person a good feeling to help others, especially when they really appreciate it, by saying so.
