She sounds like a single mom, yes? Don't get her a watch for christmas! Are you kidding?! Women can't even set the clock on the VCR! It sounds like she needs to get you something and that something would be a new dad. Most single dads tend to lack the emotional and empathetic love that a mother can provide and most single moms lack the structure and discaplining love that a dad can provide. Without this structure and discapline in her life I'm affraid her priorities will lack or her needs will come in last to her wants.
It's a shame because her lack of responsibility is only hurting the one who would otherwise be looking up to her and will probably end up following in her footsteps. I suggest talking to her as a concerned loved one and if you can't trust that you'll make an impact then tell someone in her life that can. Good luck and Happy Holidays. :)

haha, ok well this happens with ALL my reletives for every family gathering we have, but my family likes to get places a little early so whenever they come over (like this Christmas) instead of telling them to come at 2 when we want them to come, we tell them to come at 1-1:30 and they end up being only a few minutes late of 2
but we also have timely reletives that we can tell 2 and they we come at 2
so yeah, maybe tell your mom that you need to be dropped off earlier and you might get there on time
Hope this helped

You should talk to your mom and i know how you feel my dad is just about incapable of being on time. Maybe you could some times tell her that something strats earlier than it really does and she won't be as late

POST It- Write a note and put it everywhere. If you need to be somewhere write a note and put it on the bathroom mirror, on her closet door, on her bedroom door, on the rear a view mirror and call her and remind her like a hour before you need to go. if that fails get one of those programmable watches. And program it to go off a hour before your time. If you really want to get her attention have it that only a code can get it off and only you know it. That will really get her on the road to get to you.

Don't know. It's like saying, how do you make someone responsible? The truth is some people just won't be responsible. I've tried different things with my wife for 15 years. Mostly, I just make her mad trying. If you figure it out let me know.

That is how my mom is. You can try talking to her and letting her know this is something that really upsets you. Good Luck! Buy her a watch for christmas and set it ahead. lol
