Your Cockateil will like all the same kinds of junk food that you like.
Is it good for them? NO
Will it kill them? NO . Just as junk food is bad for humans but will not hurt you unless you go overboard, the same is true with your birds. If you wish to give an occasional small piece of Dorito, he will love it and it will not harm him. If however you start giving him Doritos every day it might adversely effect him in time.
Keep your Doritos as an occasional treat, maybe once a week or so. In the meantime try to find some treats that he will like that will be healthier for him. My Cockateils like popcorn, which is very good for them ,especially if it is air popped. Cheerios cereal is another good one. Whole oats from a farm supply store is absolutely adored, and is much better fro your 'teil than seeds.
Do a little research to find what he likes best, and what is harmful to him like chocolate or avocado.

Good luck

Honestly, your cockatiel might really like these foods, but, to me, no pet should be offered food such as dorito chips. I say this, because they have cheese (tangy cheese in the type that you feed your cockatiel), could be harmful your bird, and could cause some bad affect in the stomach area. If you really want to feed them to your bird, I would suggest that you talk to your vet about this.

I hope that I helped! Thanks,

Mine wants a bite of anything he sees me eating, but most of the time, he doesn't actually eat it, he is just curious and wants to know what I have. I do give him a little bit of wheat crackers, and he will eat some, but actually very little, mostly just liked to make a mess. We do give him air popped corn. He loves it, and will prance until it is ready, all of my birds did that. If you watch, really they don't eat that much, they just want what you have. Or at least that is my experience with cockatiels and parakeets.

My cockatiel LOVES Doritos but as everyone here has said, treat it as a junk food for them. Too many will harm your tiel but a little once in a while is fine.

Yes. It's ok to give just as a snack. I give my senegal Kiwi just about everything I eat. only a little bit. Some times she does not even eat it just like to chew on it. It is good to give your bird a verity of food. Preferably healthy foods.

Never give a bird Avocados or Chocolate.

That's junk food!
And if junk food affects us, it does affect a cockatiel in a much worse way!
Avoid feeding your little friend this kind of stuff.
It may seem harmless but it's a terrible idea.
Pets, like humans, can become addicted to really bad stuff.
Why not give him a healthier treat?

It sure can. It isn't good for it, and it may hurt your cockatiel, but anything can eat doritos with a simple bite and chewing.

the "cheese" part of the doritos is pure MSG. sometimes known as "hydrolized protien" or "natural flavor" since it's made by "hydrolizing" things like peanuts and corn.

i wouldn't feed my bird MSG.

try to find something un-salted and free of MSG (cheeze) flavor?

or just give ur bird Millet.

yes once in awhile, give him a unsalted cracker with a little peanut butteron it, or a piece of toast, cherrios, apples(no apple cores) oranges, grapes, scambled eggs with egg shells crushed in it for calcium.
