you should listen to your heart, but I would choose to listen to your mom because she knows your future and not the girl you asked out!

First, does this girl know how old you are because you could be setting yourself up to get ditched when she finds out and feels like she's been duped. Second, if your mom is telling you not to go, she must have a reason, she cares more about you than anyone else in the world, and Last, at 14, I'm sure you think you know it all, but putting yourself in a situation that you probably can't handle will only end in disaster. Pause and think!

Well first off I think you are too young for a 17 year old. But then again if you both like each other, do whatever you both want to do. But sometimes listening to your parents is the best thing to do. There are plenty of times I wished I listened to my parents.

If you want to be treated like an adult then you need to act like one. Sit down and have a calm, adult conversation with your Mom. You never know.....she may respect what you have to say. If you choose to go against her it will only create tension between the two of you. Let her express her point of view, and come to a happy medium.

im 15 and my boyfriend is 18. its onlllly a number. as long as your mentally mature for the relationship youre fine.
my mom wasnt too thrilled with me when i first mention it to her, but i sat her down and talked to her about it. telling her all the positives about him.
tell her that its worth a try, and not to judge him/her until you get to know them.
also, this is what i used :
say i could be dating this 17 year old, who is nice funny (blah blah blah, all the good things) or i could be dating a 14 yr old my age and say a bunch of bad things with it.
that'll pretty much prove age has nothing to do with it.

I would never tell a child to be disobedient to his/her parents as I would wish a child would not be disobedient to their parents I would suggest asking you mom whats her reasons for saying no .I would much prefer my son going out with a17 year old rather than my daughter. Talk to her hon and ask her why then if you don't win obey your mom remember honor thy mother and thy father. :) Happy HOLIDAYS

Well that is kind of stupid to ask out a girl that is 3 years older than you. Just go out with someone your own age...if the girl does go out with you isnt that a sign that she is a little bit desperate?? You know what is right and what's wrong so do the right thing!

Your Mom sounds very cool. I'm sure she raised you to make good choices and decisions. I hope the one you've made up your mind to do is one of those.
