Great story about how we met. She is 22 and I am 32. Her parents and mine are best friends and this hottie always looked up to me and thought I was hot. Apart from sexual chemistry, we love each other alot because of familiarty because of family and just plain compatible. She went to Thailand to teach English to kids and we have been tight as hell. I have sent her flowers and stuff like that. She recently went to a club and kissed another guy. She called me right after it happened. I was not upset at all and have not been obsessing over it. Do you think I should do what I have done -- forgiving her because of honesty? We always talk about how honesty is important and I have come clean to her many times on things I would try to hide from other people (420) What do you all think? I was hoping she was sloshed but was not all drunk and that sorta scared me. She has been apologetic and promises to be good.

Thanks...

I think you should forgive her because of her honesty. But I think it is important for you to talk to her about where your relationship stands. At 20 I am closer to your Gf's age and safely say that I would not want to be tied down. Everyone is different, talk to her. And shouldn't you be glad she wasn't wasted cause that would make her more vunerable?

There's a huge gap between 32 and 22 and you are quite removed from her in more ways than you care to imagine.  Also, part of what you've been "honest" about could have prompted her action/re-action.  It seems you are obsessing a bit over this or you wouldn't have asked the question on a board that can be read by innumerable people.   Should you worry?  I believe so my friend.

I would have done the same thing. You're a great guy and she showed you she's worth your love and time. You also decided to forgive her because you know her and this means you kind of understand why she did that and you believe she regrets it.You both have a wonderful relationship:D
p.s.I did that too...once...someone kissed me by surprise...and I didn't react in any way.../after that I felt guilty and I imediatly told my boyfriend. He understood and forgave me.I was loyal since...for a very long time...

Things happen, and obviously you aren't there to the her main target of affection, so she's going to experience other temptations.
It's a good sign that she feels remorse, (rather than guilt) and it's obvious she has feelings for you.
Tell her you understand and play it cool. She'll find an understanding response a lot more attractive than jealousy.

Plan a trip to Thailand and show up naked and see what happens

Dude, she's at a partying age! Long distance does not sound like a good deal here, sorry.
