A kitten only a month old? Do you have the momma cat? At that age, they aren't even weaned.
Anyways, dogs & cats can get along, if you plan to adopt that dog, just make sure that he's known to be OK around cats.

First off, if you have a kitten that is "nearly a month old", I pray you have the mother there with it, because it wasn't ready to leave her, yet.
And secondly, this depends on the age of the dog, and how well the cat and the dog react to each other.
I have a cat and a dog, myself. The dog is a beagle/Jack Russell mix. They've been around each other since I got the kitten. (Found the mother abandoned in our yard, let her raise the litter here, and found homes for them all, but kept one of the babies.)
Older cats and dogs, if they're not used to the other species, can have a hard time getting along. Some will adjust, some will not.
It's always best to raise them together, from when they are babies, though.

Your kitten is young, so chances are it hasn't had bad experiences with a dog, the cat is thus fine with dogs. The terrier is small, but shouldn't see the cat as too much of a threat. And being a mix is a major plus in your case! Make sure you introduce them to one another properly, No face to face contact for maybe a week if you can help it. Make sure htey're in different rooms, and try to alternate by putting one in the room where the last has been so they can smell each other. Once a week is up, they sshould be comfortable with one another.

what i noticed with cats and dogs is most dogs are actually afraid of cats. They should be okay together, but since your kitten is so young try to keep them separate for a while so that your kitten can grow strong in case the dog decides it wants to play. The dog will be bigger, and terriers generally are hyper animals. I don't think it would hurt it, but might rough it up some. Keep them separate and only allow them to have interaction (at least at first) when you or someone else is around to watch them. Also keep the food separate, as the dog will want to eat the cat food (lol or vice versa in my friend's case). You should be fine with both animals :)

Dogs and cats can get along fine. Especially since your cat is a kitten. If the dog is a puppy too, then they will most likely grow up to be the best of friends.

well, tht is a young kitten, so i would be careful. but at fist, let the animals get used to their smell if you can. then, put the kitten on one side of a closed door, the dof on the other. let them sniff each other. then do a supervised meeting with a hold on both animals. they should get along at such a young age, ranging from the best of friends to barely tolerable. buyt remember to give each one attention so the other does not feel jealous. i got two cats, 3 months old the, a month apart, and they learned to get along within a week and are best friends no. hope this helps.

It depends, is it a puppy or a grown dog? If its just a puppy, you can train them to get along well and eventually they could end up being like best friends and not leave each others sight. If its a grown dog already, then it depends on if its ever been around a cat before or any animals for that matter. It would all depend on how it has been trained.

Terriers are known to have a high prey drive, which means that they have an instinct that kicks in that tells them to hunt, capture, kill and it could happen at any time and it could happen never, usually happens when the cat runs, it excites the dog, he gives chase, adrenalin is off the charts and he becomes psycho and kills the smaller animal. That being said, all animals have their own personality, but the kitten is too young, he can't really defend himself, it could be a recipe for disaster, I would suggest to wait until he is at least a year old, he could defend himself a little if necessary.

the kitten is young enough to like the dog. the dog will try to play with the kitten, but the kitten will let the dog know what is up. after a while they should be like two peas in a pod.

one thing that helps if you get a dog you can spray perfume on the dogs neck and on the kittens neck because the kittens rely on smells and if the dog smells the same as the same as the kitten it makes them calmer. And i think it will be ok if if you get a puppy if the kitten and the puppy grow up together i think it will be fun. just watch the type of dog you get don't get a hunting dog. A good social dog is a "Boxer"
