When he excused Abu Ghraib as a frat party hazing.

And if so, why is he on Armed Forces Radio?

No. He's on AFR because he's a true American and gives the troops a little boost in morale. It's better than CNN and basically being called "evil" for fighting for your country. Who cares about those terrorist scum in Abu Ghraib. Stop wasting your time by asking stupid questions.

I really do not think that many people really listen seriously to him; I am a conservative and I don't. I really think the only people really paying attention to him are the people looking for things to scream about that he says. In the Abu Ghraib thing-it was a break down of military discipline and the people responsible for it will not be punished because officers take care of there own-the General in charge should have been court martial and discharged and not allowed to retire but that was not a Bush decision. Physically most of the things done were exactly that-college hazing cr*p and not out right torture but it was illegal either way and no excuse for an American military person to have done it.

Piss poor leaders are the reason for the breakdown in military discipline!
The guys who sit behind the desk and make regulations for those of us that are out doing not sitting.

And he is on the radio because of people that fought and died for his right to free speech.

yes he was

he also was when he asserted that any soldiers who dont approve of the iraq war are not REAL SOLDIERS even though the last military times poll showed over 60% of active duty military (and 2/3 of those in iraq) wanted the government to pull out of iraq.

he is on armed forces radio because right wing corporate interests keep him there despite his many scandals and biased political agenda (armed forces radio isnt supposed to have left or right wing shows on it cause the military isnt supposed to be politicized)

Come on, you know the deal.

When Rush says it, it must be ok, no matter what.

Remember the phony soldiers comment?
