Naive people how do you tell if someone is a Christian or Catholic or any other 'religion'?? Because they say they are. Doesn't mean they are.

Not true.

You're thinking of Keith Ellison.

Obama's father was a Muslim, but he was out of the family's life when he was 11 or so. I believe his mother was Christian, but still sent him to Muslim schools because, the Philippines, (I think it was the Philippines, perhaps Indonesia?) was a Muslim state, and, therefore, had the best schools.

The person who told you that is an ignorant turd. It's like getting confused and saying Barbara Bush is running for presidency and meaning Hillary Clinton.

'Well they were both married to Presidents!'

Duh.

Keith Ellison was the first, and I believe, the only public official to be sworn in on the Koran/Quran.

It is good that you naturally doubt information from a source that displays signs of religious intolerance. Hating someone for their religion is, basically, 'hating for God,' which sounds about as intelligent as fighting for peace.

Again I say, 'Duh.'

What's the matter with you, you obviously intolerant racially, religiously, and sexually deviant freak?

Who cares if someone is allied with an enemy of war to this nation? How does THAT disqualify them from being president?

Quit thinking about the good of the nation and realize that what matters is what's good for particular special interest groups - like political and religious minorities.

Get with it, ladyHAWK

Sheesh

I heard that too BTW - it was on the news at some point, true or not, and I never found out if it was real.

Hugs

it is not real. he's a Christian. there grow to be a representative from Minnesota who grow to be a Muslim who did that, even though it wasn't Obama. Thank God that we are residing in a united states of america that facilitates the guy to be sworn in, to be unfastened to apply the holy e book of his selecting. This united states of america grow to be consistent with non secular freedom. As individuals we could shelter our founding freedoms or we are going to be yet another Saudi Arabia.

I'm a right wing loon and even I am ashamed that someone on my side of the aisle put out this rumor. It's not true. He IS a Christian. Man ... if ALL the politicians on BOTH sides would just focus on the issues, we might get something done.

What should it matter? There should not even be a bible in association with politics. Isnt the government and church suppose to be seperate? And what would it matter if he was sworn in with a muslim bible? would lightning strike us down, would we be less of such a great power in the world economy, would our dollar value go up against the euro....probily not. Church and state should be kept as seperate entities in politics.

No, that was Keith Ellison. A Muslim congressman who wanted to swear on the Qu'ran. Those are lies about Obama, his biological father was an atheist and his mother sort of an agnostic. I'm not an Obama supporter but these lies are ridiculous.

Obama was raised in a muslim school when he was a child this is a fact. He claims to be a christian now but personally muslims are great at deception so vote for yourself this is america. I am sure he is a decent person but too inexperienced to be president.

Trick question, right? 'Muslim bible'? I know you mean Quran.

I want to know why no body is talking about his crooked real estate deals on Chicago's South-side.

Obama is as greasy as the rest - don't be fooled.

No, not that Christinsanity is any improvement over Islam. It's an absurdity that pols are sworn in using any book of superstition.
