My twin sister owed me $5. She had no money. Then we each got $30 from our grandpa. The bills were in 3 twenty-dollar bills and one ten-dollar bill. I got 2 twenties and she got one twenty and one ten. She thinks that now I owe her $5. I think I don't. Who is right? Thanks in advance.

You dont make sense. If you each got $30 from grandpa how come it adds up to $70 instead of $60? First you split that money, thats $35 each. Then she pays you $5. You should have $40 and she should end up with $30. So that makes you right.

Don't pay attention to her. She is trying to get into you for more money because she thinks you are a chump.

Quit lending her money. You know she won't pay you back. You are not a bank. You also know that this will set a pattern for many years to come. When you move out, she will be banging on the door of your apartment looking for handouts.

Every time she hits you up, just tell her that you are sorry, but you have had some expenses come up. If she asks for $5, you tuck that $5 away in a lockbox... do that every time she asks for money and you don't give in. At least keep a little ledger for the sake of illustration. You will be surprised at how much that will amount to in a few months.

for starter it sounds like you grandpa sent you each $35 dollars. 3 twentys equals 60 dollars plus the 1 $ten dollar equals $70. so split evenly thats $35 apiece. so if she owed you 5 dollars that means she would get $30 and you would get $40. sounds like the money was split right to me.

It's Christmas time sweetie, be a good sister and let her have it. Tell her you love her that much to not care about the $5.00. As far as who is right I would say you are. But be the better sister here and let it go because that amount of money isn't worth argueing over. At least not with your sister during the holiday's. Merry Christmas & God Bless!
