Ignore the "blessing" - that's just conmen making money out of fools. Get a ratcatcher.

Blessing a house should be free, go to the head of your place of worship and tell them what's going on..............NO this will not affect your brother's ashes. I assume that you are a christian. The bible says that the dead are unconscious and are like in sleep awaiting the resurrection. Read Ecclesiastes 9:5,6 ...........Psalms 146:4 <----these say that the dead are unconsious..........John 11:23-25<-------says that the dead rise ONLY on the last day of the ressurection.

The noises you are hearing are probably just noises that some old houses make or either you have bad spirits(demons) in your home. Just to make sure, you should see your religious leader.

Call your pastor and ask him to come do it. I've never heard of one charging a fee for such a thing. All the pastor will do is bless every entrance and exit to the house with holy water and a prayer and also bless the entrance to every room in the same manner. This is done to invite God into your home and ask that He protect you from evil. There is no reason to think that it would disturb your brothers soul.

God Bless!

You need to first rule out the possibility of cockroaches, mice and squirrels under your roof. One small mothball (no more) in each corner of the attic will scare them out nicely.

I've been in paranormal investigations for many years now. I've done a lot of house blessings.

Yes, it is entirely possible that your brother is still hanging out with his ashes (his body). Talk to him and tell him to go into the Light... go check in with God. If you think that he would be afraid to go into the Light because of stuff he did back when he was alive... and he is afraid of Judgement... tell him that he has nothing to be afraid of and that we ALL go into the Light. There is no hell. If he did something to you, then tell him you forgive him.

Burn some sage. The smoke is cleansing and scares away ghosts. If you can't find a sabe & cedar smudge stick to light, you can light some culinary sage in a small clean ashtray. Culinary sage will smell like sweatsocks, but works nonetheless.

Other things that make it tough for them to be around include the scent of pine, vanilla, sweet orange, and various resin incenses. Think scrubbing the floor with pine cleaner, or burning a quality vanilla candle, or rubbing sweet orange oil on your wood furnishings to condition the wood.

it would not upset your brothers ashes. a house blessing is only supposed to rid the house of negative energy. call your local church. i think all they ask is a small donation. but im unsure as i am an atheist. but my mum was always getting our house blessed and it never cost her loads of money.

I'll do it for $99.99.

:-) Bless your house and all that enter into and dwell in it. And bless the memory of your brother and his sweet soul.

Sorry, I get a little punchy on Fridays!!

Call your church or shrine and get some information. Might just be a donation. If it is, be generous and remember why you asking for a blessing.

If you call the right church it shouldn't cost you anything. You might even consider stopping by that church...It probably turn out to be a good one.

Go and see you're local priest or vicar, they shouldn't charge you it should be just a blessing not an exorcism.

Ask at your local church. I'm sure if you bunged them a donation they would be willing to do it. HOWEVER, a blessing will not remove weird noises!
