NOT DIRECTLY.. it was wrote on a piece of paper & this person found it & said, "i'm calling the cops, i hope you get arrested." So, could it happen? I'm thinking not but, I'm just curious.

Wow I got so many responses, so therefore I'll tell you the whole story. Me & 2 other friends went to Huddle House last night. Things were fine, our waitress took our order, time passed by, she brought it out. She screwed mine up, & I told her about it, & she offered to take it back to the kitchen & I said no, that's ok, thanks. I ACTUALLY was that nice about it. SO, night goes on, she asks if I need a refill, I said, "sure". Well I think this was when the sh*t hit the fan. She went over to refill my glass, & me & my friend were goofing around. I'm sure that she took this into offense thinking we were talking about her or something. I don't know why she would, but this is the only logical thing I could think of. So she comes back & slams my drink on the table. THAT was when I got irritated. She sat behind the counter with her other waitress & talked about us! I actually heard her say to someone "you know what sucks, I can't say anything back". Well, by this time I was P*SSED cause I co

uld hear her saying comments about me & my friends. As much as I really just wanted to be immature right back, I didn't. Well, actually I kinda did. haha- I took salt & poured some out on the table. It wasn't a HUGE amount but it was enough to write b*tch on it. (I know I said paper earlier but someone wouldve been like why'd she write b*tch in salt wtf) anyway, I didn't even leave it there, I put my drink over it. My drink that probably made half of it go away. WELL, we pay-to waitresses that were very rude to us.. & we were walking out. I sat down in the car & our waitress comes out & is getting our lisence plate #. She proceeds to say "if you have anything to f*cking say say it to my GD face". By then I was REALLY P*ISSED, so I rolled my window down about to say something to this crazy b*tch & 2 old ladys that I hadn't even SEEN IN THERE was screaming "I HOPE YOU GO TO JAIL blah blah etc etc." I was like "You don't know what you're talking about.. etc etc." Well, like 4 people are

out in the parking lot harassing us, & I do mean harassing they're like screaming everything at us. We just left, & when we pulled out I threw a friendly wave to all workers staring at us in the restaurant.
So basically what's your opinion on this besides I live around a bunch of redneck idiots who have no life but to scream at something that wasn't even that big of a deal. Yes I shouldn't have wrote b*tch in the salt but I even put my drink over it. The worst that could happen in this is me get banned from Huddle House & well, uhm this isn't really a bad thing besides I can't get breakfast when I first wake up at 3 or 4 in the day anymore. haha

I mean I guess she could say I was harassing her but she was the one who came out in the parking lot with like 4 other people & they were harassing us! So that would def. be my defense if something was to happen. I called the Huddle House manager & corporate office today, the manager is going to look at the security tapes & the only thing he'd she is her slamming my drink down & one of the b*tches waving at me & me putting my drink over the salt. The corporate office is supposed to have someone call me back.

Your situation would be considered a misdemeanor offense. An officer will not make an arrest on a misdemeanor offense unless he/she witnesses the offense themselves.
This is why when people make complaints to the police and then wonder why the person they complained about hasn't been arrested...the police can't do it or they would be breaking the law. The person making the complaint would have to file a warrant for your arrest.
I seriously doubt this person you speak of will do that!
Merry Christmas!

Put yourself in the waitresses place, she on her job, and she right she can't defend her self, Putting the salt on the table
caused her to have to clean it up. Would you do that in a upper class restaurant, No because ,you would have been arrested.
I have noticed, and I eat a lot mostly Waffle Houses and Huddle House catch it, because people like you get buy with trying to be funny. They are trained that the customer is always right. Which is bad training in some cases, you do that to some waitresses and it would have been on, Some of these kids are out their on their own, so they have yo take it. But ,there are ways too handle these problems .That is calling 911 and taking your License plate # is legal in my state. The police will
come in and look at the tape and take it from there. So if you are being honest,You may come out alright. But I would not advice you to to do this a again. I promise you, if you get the label as a Trouble maker, you can really get into a lot of trouble.
.I would just bar you, to keep you out of future trouble there.

They can get your license plate # for whatever reason but the police can't do anything about it. Whoever takes your plate number for something can report it but you have to be cought in the act of doing something in front of the police for them to do something, if it is just some traffic violation, no worries. If you stole something and your plate is on camera sucks to be you. Just because you wrote down that someone was a b*tch on a piece of paper doesn't mean anything, It was not a threat against there life or intended for them so, no worries.

No, but it is a crime. I know a freedom of speech my A**. This happend to me once, I had to go make a statement, and had to go to court for that, they made me do some community service and I was on court supervision for a year, well that is how it works in Illinois. Oh yeah was your name on that paper, if not then they don't have nothing against you.
As for the plates thing. If they want your plate number all they have to do is see look at your car, but it is not valuable information, they cannot use it for anything.

Can't get arrested for namecalling, unless it's harassment. Like, constantly going after someone with namecalling and phonecalls and whatnot. Also, someone can take your licence plate number, but the police won't do anything unless there is a viable reason for you to be arrested.

If USA you are protected under our amendments as to freedom of speech. No cop is dealing with this biches mess so no worry's there.
Civilians dont easily get a license plate number read by the police, it is illegal to do so and it is for official business only...
However there are loopholes. Just quit messing with this bich....K

MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR.

freedom of speech allows you to yell whatever you want. However it is not absolute. If shouting words causes public alarm such as "fire" in a crowded theater then you may be arrested for disorderly conduct when you intend to cause public alarm. If yelling ***** at someone causes a public alarm then there is probable cause for an arrest. Outside of that you may incite a provocation that may leave you libel.
